Scout - 2019 WR Mershawn Rice Shines At OSU Camp

"It was great being at Ohio State and I loved talking with the coaches," Rice stated. "They were telling me to stay focused on academics, and to not do anything that would hurt me in the future."

"They didn't offer me yet, and I'm going to speak with Coach (Kevin) Wilson later in the week," he added. "This camp at Ohio State helped me get better as a player."

"I also spoke to Coach (Zach) Smith and he told me I'm doing good, and to keep working hard," he continued. I feel good about things at Ohio State, and this is an offer I'd love to have. It would give me a lot to think about."

Ohio State is also set to welcome a contingent of players from Reynoldsburg this weekend, including four-star athlete Mershawn Rice and his parents.

Mershawn's an Ohio guy I wouldn't be surprised to get an offer at some point. Would love to see him earn it on the field at FNL

Mershawn is a favorite of mine so hope the academics are in order.

His top end speed and play making ability looks special.
