Keemari Murry has yet to play varsity football. That said, he has already made some nice strides since his freshman football season. As Ohio is preparing for some big track meets this month (district & regional), Murry already has a PR (personal record) of 11.37 in the 100 meter dash. By comparison, LeShun Daniels Jr, an Iowa signee @ WGH, has a PR of 11.70 in the 100. Does this mean that Murry will be a better tailback? Of course not, but if his growth & progression continues at this rate, college recruiters may take notice sooner than later.

Since 2000, WGH has sent five running backs to the Division 1 level, two of which played for Ohio State (Maurice Clarett & Dan "Boom" Herron in 2002 & 2007, respectively). Could Murry be the sixth to make it that far? Only time will tell. I'm not posting this to sell you a dream, but I advise you all to keep an eye on somebody who could potentially be the next great back from Warren. Stay tuned.

Murry set a new PR at the Austintown District prelims with a 11.29 in the 100 meter dash, placing first in his heat. The district finals are on Friday.

Murry rushed for 199 yards & 3 TDs on 21 carries against Howland last night. In 2 games, he now has 249 yards & 3 TDs on 37 carries.

Murry had 33 carries for 194 yards & 1 TD in a 35-14 loss to Massillon. For the season, he now has 70 carries for 443 & 4 TDs (80, 45, 7, 34).

For the season, he now has 96 carries for 615 rushing yards & 5 TDs (80, 45, 7, 34, 7)

For the season, he now has 112 carries for 833 yards (7.4 ypc.) & 7 TDs (80, 45, 7, 34, 7, 12, 47)

He's 5'9, 190 now. I can see him "bulking" up the way that Boom Herron did while he was at WGH. Murry is much faster than Boom was at this stage though, so hopefully, he continues to develop moving forward.

For the season, Murry now has 41 carries for 320 yards & 2 TDs (81, 45).
