2025 OH QB Ryan Montgomery (Georgia Verbal)

You hope than any Ohio kid at this kind of level would fit into Ohio State, especially with his brother there. Unfortunately, fans just have to wrap their minds around this new world. Big college football brands will pull nationally and sometimes a position room will have so much talent that a kid will choose another national brand. Perhaps he will one day come to Ohio State, but even if not, then wish him well!

I wouldn't ever expect a recruit as talented as Montgomery to come into OSU's class as a 2nd QB when he can go to dozens of other schools and be the sole QB signee. And he should pursue that, I would have never wanted him to come to OSU after landing TSC. If anything it makes OH talent look better, if the 2nd rated QB can go to arguably the best program in the SEC and be allowed to commit and compete to be their starter. I don't think we're any longer at a point where keeping guys in state should be the goal, but getting the literal best talent in the country to play for the Buckeyes.

Could end up a great talent at the next level without a doubt. So @BigWoof31 you got a good one that seems to fit well in your offense and family seems to be a great one, which can go a long way. Rooting for him in any event to do well in any game we don't face him.

We'll see. The feeling is that if he stayed and waited, he could have success similar to what Carson Beck experienced last year and is projected to experience this year. That's "if" he stays. Carson had to wait 2+ years as well to get his shot.
To his credit, it's paying off.
