The Buckeyes have not yet offered Asamoah but have maintained consistent contact and will host him for a visit again this spring: “Ohio State’s coaches and I have been in contact almost every week. I’ve had the opportunity to build a better relationship with coach [Kevin] Wilson and coach [Bill] Davis. The potential to receive an offer from my hometown school leaves me in huge amount of excitement," Asamoah said.

"Me and Coach Davis probably talk three times a week,” Asamoah told Scout. “He tells me how practice is going every once in a while. I also talk about how I’m doing in school and how his transition from the NFL to Ohio State is.

"I think he’s doing a great job with (recruiting). He’s showing me a lot of interest. He’s doing a great job recruiting me and is doing the best he can."
