One of the more impressive performances from an underclassman at Sunday’s Under Armour Next camp in Canton came from a Toledo resident.
Four-star 2026 cornerback Victor Singleton was impressive in individual drills and one-on-ones Sunday, as the top-100 prospect won nearly all of his reps and showcased great coverage skills. After the camp, he was named a positional MVP and earned a Future 50 invitation from Under Armour.
"I was out here to compete and went up against some upperclassmen trying to get some work in for the season," Singleton told Eleven Warriors. "I'd say I loved coming here and competing with everyone."
The 6-foot, 160-pound Singleton is considered the 67th-best prospect and the eighth-rated cornerback in the 2026 class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings, and has picked up 10 Division I offers. Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kent State, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Toledo and Wisconsin are the schools that have offered so far.
“I take it all in, but just because I’m getting offers doesn’t mean I can settle down,” Singleton said of his recruitment picking up over the past few months. “I have to keep going and try to stack (days) and keep working.”
In his sophomore year, Singleton recorded four interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), 15 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss.
"I'm just trying to stay humble," Singleton told DTE. "It's been a lot but I am just going to keep working."
Last weekend, he was in Florida, suiting up for the Cali Power 7-vs-7 team. That was his first real exposure on the national scene and put him in competition with the country's best receivers, including Ohio State commitment
Chris Henry Jr.
"Playing against people like Chris, that was a good experience," he said. "But I have to think about it like it's just 'me vs me' because I am doing these things to get better not for recruiting rankings."
Those recruiting rankings are already coming, though. So are the major offers—Penn State is the latest—but Singleton's dream offer is Ohio State. He'll camp with the Buckeyes on June 5.
Regardless of his current weight, Victor Singleton may be the best cover corner in Ohio in the Class of 2026. The Buckeyes would be, in our opinion, silly to hold back an offer—if he warrants it against high-level competition in June—because he's seven or eight pounds underweight.
I think Singleton may be the most natural cover corner in Ohio since Denzel Ward, which is crazy to say. Still needs to get bigger, don't love some reports about what I've heard academically but on the field the kid is a natural.
I will have to watch some film on the kid, but if we're talking on the HS level...Ward wasn't really fantastic in HS but obviously excelled at the next level. Then Mathews and Scott are going to weigh in on that topic, probably West as well. I'll add that Hill in the '26 class is right there.Per Birm:
