OFFICIAL: "What were you thinking?"...Michigan Week Thread

weddings

I was able to watch the entire first quarter and the last 8 minutes of the game. The wedding didn't start until 5:00 but we had to take a bunch of pictures. It looks like I saw the best part of the game though!! Bride and groom weren't too happy about the entire wedding party watching the game upstairs and screaming and yelling during the family photos.

good times, good times

So how was it missing one of the best OSU scUM game's ever?
:slappy:

F' You! I should have sympathy for my misfortune from my Buckeye brothers, not grief and sarcasm.

The worst part of the whole day was I missed the last seven minutes entirely. As planned, I had the radio in my ear going throughout the wedding and picture taking. When we left the church, scUM had just gone up 21-12.

Then we get in the limo and the f'n tvs can't pick up the signal, plus my radio couldn't pick it up inside the vehicle. Worst of all, my new, idiot brother-in-law decides to be a dick and has us listen to the country music station instead of the game on the car radio. Doesn't matter that the entire wedding party is pissed and yelling at him, he thinks he's funny because we all are ticked....that's the type of guy my sister married.

So, we finally stop at a bar call ShellShuckers (just south of Tiffin on Rte 53) on the way to the reception hall. I run in hoping to catch the last minutes and all I see on the wide screen is Troy Smith and the team jumping around the field. The bar was all OSU fans and they were going nuts as well...I finally got the whole story of what I missed....:sad2:

I will watch the replay on ESPN Classic at 9pm on Wednesday, but this is just another example of "why my life sucks!"

Bgrad if I was you and I'm not, skip the wedding she will not understand because whoever planned the day had no clue how important Nov.18th is. Damm it's the Game, so it must not be important to them, but to a diehard buckeye fan the Bucks come first then God & family.

leave town now while you have a chance

Figures a chick would know where the year-old wedding thread was, and then have the labia to bring it up again. Fuckin' beyatches...

We have this really cool new feature called "Search"... :p

Just didn't feel like having the same conversation again, so I figured we could just use this and substitute "Mr. I" and "brother" everywhere it says "buckeyegrad" and "sister."

You know we're all about recycling...

Well, the week has finally come...the one that has had me pissed for over a year and half and which has caused the words "stupid" and "idiot" and the phrase "what were you thinking" to be used numerous times.

As we all know, this Saturday we play scUM. The one weekend of the year people in Ohio should know better than to schedule anything else.

Unfortunately, this Saturday is also my sister's wedding...at 1:30pm. Now granted, she went to Bowling Green instead of Ohio State, but there is absolutely no excuse! She was raised in a Buckeye household and should know better. She knows what this game means to me...as well as my other other sister who also went to Ohio State and is the Maid of Honor.

I already have the ear-piece radio in order to listen to the game during the ceremony and I am working on getting a TV set-up in the side chambers of the church for us to watch before and after the actual ceremony (of course it is a Catholic wedding, so it will be a good 45 minutes).

I'm feeling depressed, pissed, and desperate and want to disown my sister, is this wrong?.....:sad2: :pissed: :2004:

Oh....and for one last kick in the crotch.....she's marrying a scUM fan....:smash:

My advice, inspired by the brilliant but overlooked cinematic classic "Hamburger the Motion Picture", would be to surreptitiously spike the rehearsal dinner food with large amounts of powerful laxatives. The runs are a great excuse for missing the wedding, and, while unpleasant, will not interfere with game watching that much.

:oh: I didn't read past the first page but if it's a 45-minute Catholic wedding at 1:30. You will be drinking by 2:45 at the lastest with pictures and watching kick-off from the reception. Wear your scarlet and gray under your tux, strip down to it after pictures, slam a few to catch up as soon as you are done, and root on the Bucks and your sister for taking this step with her life.:io:
