I couldn't watch that game and had to listen to it on the student radio station. They never explained why they stopped the clock with 2 seconds left. What the heck happened there?

My memory of it was that Ohio State drew a flag for false start. In the NFL, they would have run off the time. I guess that wasn't the rule in college in 2004.... Or, maybe the officials didn't believe it was "intentional" Anyway, the clock stopped after a flag.
