With the 9th pick of the 4th round, the Miami Dolphins select.....Joe Newton, TE Oregon St. With the release of McMichael and the signing of the often injured David Martin, Miami needs some depth at tight end. While not having great speed, Newton has great size and good hands to become both a solid blocker and receiver from the tight end position.
With the 11th pick in the 4th round, the San Francisco 49ers select Michael Coe, DB, Alabama State. Coe has good size-6'1 190, and is versatile enough to play CB or fill in at safety. He has been rising up the charts lately due to good combine workouts, and the only reason that he is from Alabama State is b/c he transferred there from Arkansas to play for his father when he became head coach of the Hornets.
With the next pick the bills select Lorenzo Booker RB FSU...despite not playing up to his number 1 recruit out of high school potential the bills were really banking that he was going to last this long...he is the perfect change of pace back that the bills are looking for and his hands are perfect for dump off passes from losman...although this is a gamble the bills really like his potential and expect him to help out with the current RB situation
With the 13th pick, Green Bay selects Dallas Baker, WR, Florida. Behind an aging Donald Driver, 32 this year, and a young Greg Jennings, there is very little prodcutive depth. No chance of getting a real superstar this late, but with his size and speed, GB expects that Baker can step in as a 3rd or 4th receiver and give Favre another option down the field.
