A couple things, the ACC is getting way too much respect with 4 teams in the top 11.

Also can anyone explain to me How TCU is ranked in the top 25. Also how Fresno St. is at least not ranked above them. They have beat absolutely noone. There only decent win was against Oklahoma, who sucks. They lost to SMU for cryin' out loud.

Only thing that pisses me off is being behind ND as the only other highly ranked 2 loss team.

The USC and UT losses were a wash and our loss at PSU was a lot more respectable than their loss at home to MSU.

Just wanted to put that out there but the Domers getting head from the media is no shocker.

As far as BCS bowl hopes don't sweat it, we either get an auto bid as the B10 champ or its off to sunny FL. You have to be BCS top 8 to get an at large and it would take a miracle at this point, but you never know.

We should cruise untill AA, as always it will define our season.

Just checked on the BCS (projected) and as far as ND goes its all about the UT game November 5th.

ND is currently behind us in the BCS, if they lose to Tennessee they will not make it to a BCS game period.

If they win its still going to be close as they have to have 9 wins AND a BCS rank of 12 or better. They are currently going to be 15th and their remaining SOS is bad.

They will probably get it but it will be close. Lose to UT and forget it, they'll end up taking the Big Least's Gator Bowl spot.

scUM over Minnesota AP? Are you kidding me? Minny has a better record, and beat scUM @ scUM. What more do you need? For once the coaches got it right and the AP got it wrong. I just don't see how Michigan moves up in the polls after stuggling with Iowa.

I'll tell you what, this game vs. Minnesota will be a pretty scary game for being agasint an unranked team.

Our future schedule has 3 of the next 4 teams ranked in the top 25 of computer polls. We will likely be ranked farely high by the computers if we win out...probably still higher than Notre Dame. That could keep them out and put us in.

My thoughts exactly.

Sorry gang, but I don't see us cruising into Ann Arbor. Minny is going to be tough at their place, and NW is hot. I know their D is suspect, we're at home, and the revenge factor, but as I said in another thread, I don't like the thought of us getting into a shootout type game with anyone. Hopefully, the old theory that great D beats great O holds true. Back to the main point, we have a very tough road ahead. And, it still ends with a battle in the Outhouse.

I view the Minny game a lot like the Alamo Bowl last year agasint OSU. A very good running game with a very good runningback and an average quarterback and some decent receivers on offense. However, neither team has much on defense to pose much of a threat, IMO. I think the ground game of Minny will eat up clock and they will get yards, but in the end the #1 rushing defense is too much and our offense is good enought for the win.

There will be no shootout with NW. A great D beats a "great" O time and time again. Have faith.

I tend to agree that OSU shouldn't hit the cruise control, though.

Jax, I agree with your thoughts re: ND over OSU. Still can't believe they didn't drop even 1 spot (In the AP) after "almost winning"

I entirely agree. That's also my only complaint with the polls again this week. Although, I'm not nearly as concerned with the polls anymore as I am with us winning the Big Ten and going to a BCS bowl. We need the winner of the PSU-Wisconsin game to lose somewhere along the way...
