OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion)

Not at all taking him for granted, but I just don't see Hartline leaving. That would be a huge departure from his progression since coming back to tOSU. He's just starting to get into a groove as OC at the place he loves and Day's going to give him more latitude as he grows into it. Jumping now just doesn't make any sense.

Plenty of insight from him if he needs. I don’t think it’s the move he’d make but if he wants to be a HC he’s gotta start somewhere. No expectations (but also no attraction).

Honestly, having been stationed in Tampa, I think if he’s going to take the step it should be somewhere in Florida. He would really do well at a place like USF, FAU, or UCF. The vibe fits him. Also, he has the South Florida and Midwest connections. Little expectations there and ability to make a huge splash.

That said - give the man a blank check.
