These rankings dont even make sense. Hartline and Huff have the same number of commits and very close as the 1 and 2 for avg, yet the Points are far apart? Hows that work?

SPECIAL TEAMS HERO. Brian Hartline isn't the type of guy who's going to ask his players to do something he wouldn't have been willing to do, and that includes laying folks out on kickoff coverage.



It's nice that Hartline can just have this clip handy whenever he asks the No. 1 high school receiver in the country to go make a play on special teams.

In a recent series of videos put out on the Buckeyes' Twitter account, Hartline goes through some basic drills with head coach Ryan Day's son, RJ, and two other boys. These are drills that can be done anywhere -- a park, a backyard, on a playground -- in order to continue to develop as players, something Hartline thinks is important.

I have to think (hope) there is a succession plan in place to get him the title and pay he deserves soon.

If your primary criterion is rating by recruiting services, he may well be the best position coach / recruiter in college football history. If your criteria include how well they do in college, the polls are still open, but early returns look very promising

During his 28 seasons as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes football program, Woody Hayes's teams won five national championships (1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970), captured 13 Big Ten Conference titles, and amassed a record of 205–61–10.

Just sayin': He wasn't at the end of his career, but in the 50s and 60s he did pretty well. Unfortunately, back then you never knew what assistant/position coaches recruited what players.
