OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion, HC at USF, Buckeye OC for this postseason)

Which Buckeye had the greatest impact on the Ohio State history of the position he played?

OK, that's a laugher. On a more serious note, is Hartline poaching any tOSU coaches, asst coaches, helpers, or 'consultants'?

He doesn’t seem like the type that will poach OSU. I bet guys that go with him are mutual decisions between him, Day, and the player/coach.

If I were him I would be trying to convince Lincoln to come down to Tampa. It’s not like KH will start, and he’s a great athletic QB that Hartline has worked extensively with.

Also if he got some guys that weren’t going to get much PT, he could set himself up nicely for a first year.

SERE, you got some great thoughts there! Some of the non-used Buckeyes could have a huge impact with Hartline, starting with Lincoln....couple of wide receivers, and maybe some 'passed over' OL guys....keep those great thoughts working.

Thanks! I know we’re live in the social media age where drama sells, but I think Hartline is leaving on great terms. I wouldn’t be surprised if Day gave him all the recommendations in the world and helped him with the process - he’s been there before.

Taking some players and analysts with him would be great for both schools. For the bulls, young coaches get a bigger title, the players get exposure and opportunities to showcase talents. This familiarity will help Hartline adjust to his new role which is going to be a big bite.

For Ohio State, Day gets the guys in a better school that is more fit for them right now. It also frees up transfer portal and recruiting space for us, while still having pride in those that have left. You generally don’t hear anything negative from his that have left, always positive (see: Burrow, Ryan Williams).
