His recovery time leaves something to be desired (proving he's steroid free) but his proven toughness makes him a candidate to play fullback in the Big Ten.

Back home tonight...finally. A week of IV antibiotics at home, and then the surgery to get the remnant of the appendix out, and he should be good as new.

He lost ten pounds, which is a lot for a skinny 11 year old, but he is happy to be home.

Tim - I want to thank you publicly for your kind gift. I don't think Tim and I had said two words to each other before the kind words and an offer to send my son something to keep his mind off of his surgery.
