notre damn 7-4 ranked 41??

I disagree completely with everyones analysis. I agree ND could be in for a long season, but I belive they will have a decent one. I hate ND almost as much as I hate Michigan and seeing them lose brings me great happiness. I have certain reasons why I belive they may surprise people.

The first reason I believe that they may have a good seasom is because of their QB. Brady Quinn impressed the hell out of me for a true freshmen. They had good runningbacks but they don't have crap for receivers. That kid was running for his life trying to find open receivers but they just didn't have the athletes to get open. I think he may be one of the most improved players in america this year.

Remember this name...Darius Walker. Alot of analyst thought this kid was very underrated and he beat all of Herschell Walkers running records in Georgia. This kid may have a decent year as a back-up or may even get the starting nod.

Terrail Lambert is another name that you might recall. I have heard from a domer fan that they might switch him from safety/linebacker/runningback to receiver. That kid can flat out haul ass my friends. You might see him get some time at WR this year.

I don't pretend to know alot about who they lost or their depth chart but I do know that they have talent coming in. Maybe not as much as OSU or Michigan but they will have talent.

Purdue lost their whole defense to graduation. If ND can gets turnovers and they can run the ball against Purdue they have a great chance of winning that game. Purdue traditionally plays crappy on the road and has a habit of blowing games to bigtime opponents.

Michigan St. lost Jeff Smoker. Thats huge considering a new starter has to be ready for a spread out offense early in the season to play a team like ND.

This may sound crazy but I truely belive ND has a chance against Michigan. New RB and QB for Michigan @ ND EARLY IN THE SEASON WITH AN OVER CONFIDENT SKUNKBEAR SQUAD...THEY MAY GET SHOCKED.

Pitt lost alot of starters on defense on an already horrible defense. ND beat them on the road last year and I don't see them beating ND at home especially without Fitzgerald.

Look at what Washington lost on offense(Pickett, Williams) and I don't see Washington being much better than last year.

If ND can slow down Navy's running game they will beat the Midshipmen.

BYU has a good offense but their defense is offensive.

Stanfors sucks!!!

The only games I see as guarateed losses are USC and Tennessee.

I'm not trying to say ND is JUGGERNAUT, BUT I think they have potential.

You make a good point by breaking the schedule down the way you did.
But even at that, Teams like Pittsburgh, Boston College,Michigan st. and Washington may have been the best unranked teams anyone could play.
It's still a very tough schedule.
