From that link:

The Big East said Sunday the back judge is supposed to focus on the play clock. When it hits zero, he is then supposed to check on the ball before calling delay of game.

The league says there will always be some lag time, and that on the fake field goal, "this lag time created the situation where it appears the play clock expired just before the snap."

The league says it believes "the snap occurred well within the normal lag time."

In other words, it's like calling a timeout. I doesn't matter so much when it happens, as when the ref recognizes it and signals for it.

Not to mention the fact that the offense was never designed around his skills, rather he was made to mold his skills (mostly) into the system.

There were exceptions, but the offense was designed for Todd Boeckman.

I used to like him. He's become insufferable. He seems more interested in showing off how good a writer he thinks he is than saying something with even a hint of common sense.
