Norton Live Update

I've been having a problem running Live Update lately on my Norton Anti-virus b/c everytime I click it, it says it's already running in the background and I need to wait until that session ends but it never seems to end.

Any way to circumvent that?

Ditch Norton ASAP.

There are much better AV programs available, including several that are free (Avira AntiVir, AVG & Avast!).

right..but he might not want to do that. You could try reinstalling it or killing liveupdate.exe (or something similar to that name) by opening your task manager (ctl+alt+del)/end process.
