No More Flag Planting and Laurence Jabronie

I'm glad the Big Ten stepped up and made this new rule. I remember how disgusted I was with Wisconsin when they danced on our "O" as I sat in our stadium last year. Not only does it inflame, but it is childish and disrespectful. I'm not saying the winning team cannot celebrate, b/c they certainly deserve that by winning; however, when it comes to dancing in the middle of an opponent's field or planting a flag in the same place, there's only immature, disrepectful motives underlying such actions, and accordingly it should be stopped.

I wouldn't want to do that. If you're interested, PM me and I'll go into it. I want to read this discussion because if you prohibit the winning team from doing it away from home, how about the home team after a win. Or, how about the criminoles, the indian, and the spear??? Don't they do that away and at home?

Planting your flag on your own field, especially before the game starts like FSU does, is not against the wishes of the home team and thus is not taunting. Conversely, a team planting their flag on an opponents field after winning is surely not wanted by the home team and is definitely taunting.
