Good Game Ohio State

just thought id say good game and good luck in the rest of the tourney. You have a bunch of good classy fans for the most part and a great team. I hope we at least gave you a good first round game. Im proud of our team they played with alot of heart and gave it all we could but Oden is a beast man. we are an up and coming program and hope one day to truly compete on the top level.But good luck the rest of the tourney, hopefully ill be able to say we lost to the national champions.

And sorry to those who bet against the spread. I told you all not to cause we would play the whole game the best we could

"Before I even got the ball, Greg was yelling, 'Off the glass! Off the glass!' " Cook said of fellow Ohio State freshman Greg Oden. "That was just my instinct to throw it off the glass for him."

Despite center Greg Oden's recent surge and a dip in outside shooting, Ohio State did most of its damage Thursday night from beyond the arc.

LEXINGTON, KY. - Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge wouldn't admit it was a two-fer.
Ainge sat in the third row at Rupp Arena Thursday to watch his son Austin play for BYU against Xavier in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. And he got a good look at Ohio State's 7-foot freshman Greg Oden, who could be wearing Celtic green in June because the franchise currently holds the second-worst record in the NBA.

"I just couldn't sleep; I wasn't tired," said Oden, who said he finally dozed off at 2:30 a.m. before an 8 a.m. wakeup call. "But I got a couple naps throughout the day, so I'm good."

Ohio State center Greg Oden slams home a basket that didn't count following a Central Connecticut State foul in the first half Thursday at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. Oden finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds - his 12th double-double of the season - as the Buckeyes won, 78-57, in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

LEXINGTON, Ky. Greg Oden grabbed the ball off the backboard, slammed it through the net and screamed. It was the kind of athletic, powerful play that's come to symbolize the Ohio State freshman's considerable talent.

Too bad it didn't count.

A Central Connecticut foul before the shot wiped out the dunk, one of the few times Oden and the top-seeded Buckeyes were stopped during their 78-57 win over the Blue Devils on Thursday in the opening round of the South Regional.
