Well...I tell you what. I'm rooting for Houston. And that was quite an amazing game, and it was sad to see Albert Pujols (sp?) hit that home run...but I knew it was going to happen. They should have walked him...or at least not given him something to hit. Bad pitching by Lidge. Now the Cards just need to win at home, which they can do. That sucks for the Astros. 2 strikes, 2 outs, 2 runs up...man they had it!

As a Sox fan, I'm pulling for STL because I don't want to face Oswalt/Clemens/Pettitte.

How could Lidge walk Edmonds, who was 1 for 13 against him?

Do you want to face the Cy Young winner along with Pujols/Edmonds/Sanders?

Plus, do you want to see that fucking ADD kid Eckstein running around like a psychopath? He gets walked and runs down to first base like dogs are chasing him. Somebody get him some Ritalin.

The Cards managed to get Dontrelle Willis on their postseason roster? :biggrin:

To answer the question, yes, Carpenter doesn't scare me. And when the pressure's on, Pujols will fold. When was the last time he hit a home run that really mattered? :wink2:

The Astros didn't choke anything away.

Did you even watch the game?

Eckstein got a 2 strike count and battled to bang a single between 3rd and SS.

Edmonds drew a 5 pitch walk and Pujols bombed a homerun.

I don't call that giving a game away, I call that the Cardinals WINNING the game.

They did that off the best closer in baseball.

The home crowd doesn't get to party, but you've two more chances to get to the Series. No need to go out on the Lidge yet. (I meant ledge).
