The biggest number might be the 3.4 blocked shots per game. That's basically the same number that Oden averaged last year, and while I'd imagine George doesn't have the defensive range that Oden had, I wouldn't be surprised if OSU struggles to get off decent shots from within 7 feet or so when George is in (with the caveat that I haven't actually seen him play).

Probably right...we'll have to take advantage when he's not in the game to slash more. George doesn't start and he appears to play around 23 minutes a game.

Would it be safe to say that we are going to run, run, run, when George is in there. If KK can draw him out of the paint, then were going to drive to the basket all night (or as long as he's in there). I havent seen UNCA play this year but would have to assume that they dont want the big dude drifting out. In that event KK's jumper will be key.

Is there any way to get a Master of the Obvious Post of the day award??

I'll repeat the caveat that I haven't seen Asheville play, but I'd have to assume that if (when) Koustos moves to the perimeter on offense, George will not be following him. It's almost inconceivable that when George is in the game, he doesn't stay defensively planted on or near the low post.

Hey, I am going to this game. You guys got any ideas for posters/signs that would get me on TV?

Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center
Banners, Posters and Signs:
Banners, posters and signs will not be permitted for any Ohio State University athletic events. Some sign and banners may be allowed but this will vary from event to event; they may not be displayed during the show or play due to sightline issues. These items may not be placed around the Center (walls, railings or suite areas). No poles or sticks to display such items will be allowed in the Center at any time. Any signs that are deemed offensive, vulgar or commercial in nature will not be permitted.

I've seen George close up. Absolutely amazing size, you just wouldn't believe it. He does seem like a nice kid, trying to work through his obvious problems and take advantage of his obvious strengths. No way in hell he can guard any of our big guys, he won't/can't leave the paint. I'm looking forward to it, treat the big guy fair, he can't help his size.
