The people I work for just bought me a computer that's coming with Vista. The problem is I just found out the billing software I use is not compatible with Vista and apparently won't be for some time. The software needs XP Pro to run properly.
Pardon me if this is a stupid question but is there any way I can go buy Windows XP Pro and install it on the new computer that's coming loaded with Vista? Time is of the essence and the computer is supposed to be here tomorrow. It will be a huge problem if I have to have the computer returned and buy a new one.

You can wipe the hard drive clean and install XP, or set it up with both Vista & XP (assuming you have both on disc).

While I wanted to try to do the XP Pro install so I wouldn't be without a work computer until next week I was denied. Luckily my current computer came back to life. Hopefully it stays alive until next week.
