7 years and no playoffs. Like I said what he’s done with the farm club isn’t translating up. I get goalie has been an issue, but the way they faded out of the playoffs this year was unreal.

Next year is put up or shut up time to me at least. He did have a full on rebuild to undertake thanks to Holland.

At this point, if he hasn't moved on now, it isn't going to happen after next season. And if this goes down and the team flounders, it'll be another rebuild with the new GM so more years without playoffs. They're screwed one way or the other.

Carolina vs. Vegas is going to be a damn war. It'll be fun to watch.

Carolina's style + the Vegas Salary Cappers is not my idea of a fun watch

I think it's going to be a lot of fun to watch....very physical hockey.

Carolina just totally out skating Vegas. Usually Vegas is the 2nd period team, but they look gassed

The Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup for the second time in franchise history and the first time since 2006, eliminating the Vegas Golden Knights in six games Sunday night.

Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal won the Conn Smythe Trophy for most valuable player in the Stanley Cup playoffs, becoming the oldest player to win the award at age 37.

Staal definitely deserved the Conn Smythe. He really put the Canes on his back numerous times in the series. They just wore the Knights down.
