Oilers getting undone by the usual suspects of goaltending and defense. What a collapse tonight.

I will miss watching their offense click, though. Poetry in motion.
That was a fun series to watch....so I was partially rooting for the Oilers to win to keep it going. But holy shit are they fucking dirty.

Lighting-Avs, just go ahead and book it. Fuck both of those teams, but I guess go Avs? At least Denver is a truly good hockey market. They deserve it more than fair weather Tampa fans, 75% of whom probably couldn't name 5 players on the team.

I don't like to bitch about refs, but the most penalized team in the league gets one penalty called....because they had to.....all game, vs a team that is struggling to score on anything that isn't a pp? That was some straight up horse shit.

NHL officiating might be the worst across all of sports, and that's saying something. It's not just that they miss stuff, it's that they're wildly inconsistent...often within the same minute. I almost had 2-3 aneurysms during that Oilers-Avs series alone. There was also a game in the Oilers-Kings series in LA where the Kings had 1 penalty to the Oilers 6. Yes, the team with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl had one penalty committed against them, and the team with...um...Kopitar?...had 6. Totally legit.

Rangers fan arrested after knocking out Lightning fan with vicious sucker-punch

The perpetrator, later identified as 29-year-old James Anastasio of Staten Island, turned around and sucker-punched him on the side of the head as the Lightning fan never had a chance to protect himself.

The victim collapsed and hit his head on the ground. He was tended to by more amicable Rangers fans, who say he regained consciousness five minutes after the attack. According to Evan Axelbank of Fox 13, the New York Police Department said the victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Witnesses told the New York Police Department that the assault took place around 11:30 p.m. ET after both fans started arguing and the altercation escalated.

Anastasio was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment.” That’s because, per WTSP 10 Tampa Bay, he reportedly assaulted a witness who attempted to stop him. According to the officers, the witness “sustained pain and bruises on his face” but did not undergo medical treatment.

In a statement released on Friday, MSG condemned the assault and said they have banned Anastacio for life from The Garden and all other MSG venues, which includes Hulu Theater at MSG, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre and The Chicago Theatre.
