QB's
1. Jimmy Clausen: 6-3, 200 lbs, Westlake Village, California- 9.7
2. Willy Korn: 6-2, 200 lbs, Duncan, South Carolina- 9.3
3. John Chiles: 6-1, 195 lbs, Mansfield, Texas- 8.9
4. Ryan Mallett: 6-6, 230 lbs, Texarkana, Texas- 8.7
5. John Brantley: 6-3, 190 lbs, Ocala, Florida- 8.5
6. Tyrod Taylor: 6-1, 193 lbs, Hampton, Virginia- 8.4
7. Keith Nichol: 6-2, 180 lbs, Lowell, Michigan- 8.3
8. Mike Paulus: 6-5, 220 lbs, Syracuse, New York- 8.3
9. G.J. Kinne: 6-3, 207 lbs, Canton, Texas- 8.2
10. Pat Bostick: 6-3, 196 lbs, Lancaster, Pennsylvania- 8.2
11. Chris Forcier: 6-3 185 lbs, San Diego, California-8.1
12. Aaron Corp: 6-4, 195 lbs, Villa Park, California- 8.0
13. Jason Munns: 6-5, 228 lbs, Kennewick, Washington-8.0
14. Cameron Newton: 6-6, 230 lbs, Atlanta, Georgia- 7.9
15. Peter Lalich: 6-5, 230 lbs, West Springfield, Virginia-7.9
Analysis: Simply put, this is the deepest the position has been in a very long time. With names like Matt Simms and Stephen Garcia just missing the cut, it is just amazing how many excellent prospects there are at QB this year. I put an asterisk next to Chiles name because I am not sure if he stays at QB. He is an unreal athlete, but most coaches would prefer him to be a WR. If he stays at QB, he?s definitely a top 3 QB. Clausen is the most fundamentally sound of the bunch and is the most college ready. So many of these QB's this year are more than just gunslingers, but excellent game managers. The player with the most upside out of this group in my opinion is Mallett. Right now, he has one of the worst deliveries, but has the best arm in the country and surprising mobility.
RB's
1. Noel Devine: 5-8, 175 lbs, North Fort Meyers, Florida- 9.6
2. Caleb King: 5-11, 186 lbs, Lilburn, Georgia- 9.4
3. Golden Tate: 5-11, 175 lbs, Hendersonville, Tennessee- 9.0
4. Ryan Houston: 6-2, 240 lbs, Matthews, North Carolina- 8.8
5. Marc Tyler: 6-0, 215 lbs, Westlake Village, California- 8.7
6. Armando Allen: 5-9, 191 lbs, Hialeah, Florida- 8.6
7. John Clay- 6-2, 225 lbs, Racine Park, Wisconsin- 8.6
8. Broderick Green: 6-1, 230 lbs, Little Rock, Arkansas- 8.4
9. Chris Rainey: 5-8, 160 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 8.4
10. Jonathan Dwyer: 6-0, 200 lbs, Marietta, Georgia- 8.3
11. Ray Carter: 6-1, 185, Los Angeles, California- 8.3
12. Robert Hughes: 6-0, 200 lbs, Chicago, Illinois- 8.1
13. Bradley Stephens: 5-10, 185 lbs, McAllen, Texas- 8.1
14. Joseph Reese: 6-2, 190 lbs, Pflugerville, Texas-8.1
15. Morgan Williams: 6-0, 190 lbs, Canton, Ohio-8.0
Analysis: This group of RB's is headlined by none other than Noel Devine. In my earlier rankings I had Golden Tate over him, but since then, I've seen just too much to not put Devine at the top spot. Caleb King has a great blend of speed and power. His running style is a lot like current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Carnell Williams. This could be the deepest RB class ever from Florida. With three players who will all make a push for top 50 status, the big three Florida schools will certainly have great RB's for the next few years to come.
WR's
1. Arrelious Benn- 6-1, 208 lbs, Washington, D.C.- 9.3
2. Deonte Thompson- 6-0, 180 lbs, Belle Glade, Florida- 9.0
3. Duval Kamara- 6-4, 205 lbs, Hoboken, New Jersey- 8.7
4. Junior Hemmingway- 6-2, 205 lbs, Conway, South Carolina- 8.5
5. Greg Little- 6-3, 208 lbs, Durham, North Carolina-8.4
6. Dwight Jones- 6-5, 210 lbs, Burlington, North Carolina- 8.4
7. Curtis Brown- 6-0, 174 lbs, Gilmer, Texas- Texas- 8.3
8. Markques Simas- 6-2, 205 lbs, San Diego, California- 8.2
9. Terrance Tolliver- 6-5 180 lbs, Hempstead, Texas- 8.2
10. Lansford Watson- 6-4, 217 lbs, Lincoln, New York- 8.1
11. Dion Lecorn- 5-11, 196 lbs, Ocala, Florida- 8.1
12. Ahmad Page- 6-3, 175 lbs, Sterlington, Louisiana- 8.1
13. Niles Paul- 6-0, 200 lbs, Lincoln, Nebraska- Nebraska- 8.1
14. Morgan Burnett- 6-1, 182 lbs, College Park, Georgia- 8.0
15. Alphonso Bryant- 6-0, 186 lbs, Homestead, Florida- 8.0
Analysis: This is a very deep class. It's not like Duval Kamara is the third best receiver. He?s more like 1C. Some services feel that my ninth ranked WR, Terrance Tolliver, could be in the running to be the best WR in the country. Top overall receiver, Arrelious Benn, is easily the most college ready. He's probably the most well built receiver to enter college in while. He has excellent speed and a set of hands that are unmatched in this class. In a few years, we could be talking about Dwight Jones and Duval Kamara being the Dwayne Jarrett and Calvin Johnson of this class.
TE's
1. Mike Ragone- 6-5, 230 lbs, Cherry Hill, New Jersey- 8.7
2. Aaron Hernandez- 6-4, 235 lbs, Bristol, Connecticut- 8.5
3. Nate Chandler- 6-5, 225 lbs, San Diego, California- 8.2
4. D'Angelo McCray- 6-5, 265 lbs, Jacksonville, Florida- 8.1
5. LaMarcus Jenkins- 6-4, 225 lbs, Ahoskie, North Carolina- 7.9
6. Zach Pianalto- 6-4, 210 lbs, Springdale, Arkansas- 7.9
7. Rob Gronkowski- 6-6, 230 lbs, Williamsville, New York- 7.9
8. Jordan Hammond- 6-5, 235 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 7.8
9. Derek Drummond- 6-5, 206 lbs, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- 7.8
10. Rocky Weaver- 6-6, 225 lbs, Battle Creek Michigan- 7.7
11. Zach Smith- 6-3, 210 lbs, West Deptford, New Jersey- 7.6
12. Brandon Lampkin- 6-5, 250 lbs, Tucker, Georgia- 7.6
13. Grant Freeman- 6-7, 255 lbs, Paris, Arkansas- 7.5
14. Bailey Woods- 6-5, 223 lbs, Marietta, Georgia- 7.5
15. Lars Anderson- 6-4, 235 lbs, Winter Springs, Florida- 7.5
Analysis: While Mike Ragone and Aaron Hernandez are excellent prospects and will look to make wherever they go, this class is significantly weaker than the past few classes. There are some very good players, like Gronkowski, Chandler, and Pianalto, but nobody other than the first two really stand out other than the top two. A few of these players are likely to see time on the other side of the ball, most notably D'Angelo McCray, who is committed to the Florida Gators
OT
1. Josh Oglesby, 6-7, 315 lbs, Milwaukee, Wisconsin- 9.4
2. Anthony Davis- 6-6, 300 lbs, Piscataway, New Jersey- 8.8
3. Ryan Miller- 6-8, 280 lbs, Littleton, Colorado- 8.7
4. Lee Ziemba- 6-7, 295 lbs, Rogers, Arkansas- 8.7
5. Marquis Franklin- 6-5, 315 lbs, Tyler, Texas-8.2
6. Javorio Burkes- 6-6, 315 lbs, Phoenix, Arizona- 8.2
7. Matt Romine- 6-6, 275, Tulsa, Oklahoma- 8.1
8. Chris Shannon- 6-6, 290 lbs, Andover, Massachusetts- 8.0
9. Martin Coleman- 6-6, 290 lbs, Huntington Beach, California- 8.0
10. Chris Little- 6-6, 335 lbs, Jeffersonville, Georgia- 8.0
Analysis- The top four OT?s in this class are as good as any three in any other class in recent memory. Oglesby has the highest ceiling for an OL in recent memory. If he gets just a bit lower, he will be simply unstoppable. Davis is the only person who was even able to come close to stopping Marvin Austin. Miller is the most fundamentally sound at this point and compares nicely to Sam Young. Ziemba is the highest recruited player in Colorado since former All American Jeff Byers. There is an excellent chance that all three end up getting five star ratings from all major services.
OG
1. Tray Allen, 6-4, 305 lbs, Grand Prarie, Texas- 9.0
2. James Wilson- 6-6, 310 lbs, St. Augustine, Florida- 8.9
3. Josh Marks- 6-5, 300 lbs, Catawissa, Pennsylvania- 8.4
4. Tanner Strickland- 6-5, 310 lbs, Nashville, Georgia- 8.3
5. John Elliot- 6-5, 280 lbs, East Meadow, New York- 8.2
6. James Pouncey- 6-4, 270 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 8.0
7. LaShawn Pouncey- 6-4, 275 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 8.0
8. Anthony Morgan- 6-3, 335 lbs, Lancaster, Texas- 8.0
9. Nick Jenkins- 6-3, 315 lbs, Damascus, Maryland- 7.9
10. William Vlachos, 6-1, 305 lbs, Birmingham, Alabama- 7.8
Analysis- There is tremendous depth at OG this year. Allen and Wilson headline this class. Outside of last year?s top overall prospect, Andre Smith, these two may be the best since 2002 OL Justin Blalock. Outside of those two, Marks, Strickland, and Elliot are all excellent prospects. Marks destroys the competition with ease. He pulls very well and along with J.B. Walton and Antonio Logan El, the PSU OL is set for years.
C
1. Harland Gunn- 6-3, 300 lbs, Omaha, Nebraska- 8.1
2. Ryan Pugh- 6-3, 275 lbs, Hoover, Alabama- 7.8
3. Stefen Wisniewski- 6-3. 275 lbs, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- 7.8
4. Chaz Ramsey- 6-3, 270 lbs, Madison, Mississippi- 7.6
5. Jason Hannan- 6-2, 275 lbs, Waxahachie, Texas- 7.5
Analysis- Harland Gunn is the only true blue chip center in this group. He is up there on the Jeff Byers level in terms of dominance. Seeing that Miami hasn?t been able to replace the dominance and leadership of Brett Romberg, it is very realistic that he can start by sophomore year. Other than him, Pugh and Wisniewksi are both nice prospects, probably both getting high three to low four star grades.
DE's
1. Ben Martin- 6-5, 220 lbs, Cincinnati, Ohio- 9.0
2. Richetti Jones- 6-3, 234 lbs, Dallas, Texas- 8.9
3. Allen Bailey- 6-3, 252 lbs, Darien, Georgia- 8.8
4. Travian Robertson- 6-4, 220 lbs, Laurinburg, North Carolina- 8.4
5. Everson Griffen- 6-4, 263 lbs, Avondale, Arizona- 8.3
6. Justin Trattou- 6-4, 230 lbs, Ramsey, New Jersey- 8.3
7. Sidell Corley- 6-4, 250 lbs, Mobile, Alabama- 8.2
8. Akeem Ayers- 6-2, 225 lbs, Los Angeles, California- 8.1
9. Domonic Glover- 6-4, 230 lbs, Mission Viejo, California- 8.1
10. Martez Wilson- 6-4, 235 lbs, Chicago, Illinois- 8.1
11. Kerry Neal- 6-3, 225 lbs, Bunn, North Carolina- 8.0
12. Rae Sykes- 6-4, 230 lbs, Alcoa, Tennessee- 8.0
13. Solomon Thomas- 6-4, 210 lbs, West Chester, Ohio- 7.9
14. Luther Davis- 6-3, 252 lbs, West Monroe, Louisiana- 7.9
15. Michael Keck- 6-5, 215 lbs, Harrisonville, Missouri- 7.9
Analysis: Ben Martin, Richetti Jones, and Allen Bailey will all have instant impacts no matter where they go. All three are big, strong, and have excellent top end speed. Martin has such a high ceiling that he is drawing comparisons to Jason Taylor. Jones may end up playing OLB depending on where he goes. Either way, he can dominate. Bailey is such a physically dominant player. He plays a little bit of ILB in high school and is this year?s version of Micah Johnson.
DT's
1. Marvin Austin- 6-3, 298 lbs, Washington, D.C.- 9.5
2. John Brown- 6-2, 285 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 9.0
3. Myles Wade- 6-2, 290 lbs, Portland, Oregon- 8.8
4. Ted Laurent- 6-2, 285 lbs, Powder Springs, Georgia- 8.5
5. Joseph Barksdale- 6-5, 305 lbs, Detroit, Michigan- 8.4
6. Kerry Murphy- 6-5, 315, Hoover, Alabama- 8.3
7. Andre Jones- 6-4, 305 lbs, El Paso, Texas- 8.2
8. Torrey Davis- 6-5, 290 lbs, Seffner, Florida- 8.1
9. Tydreke Powell- 6-3, 295 lbs, Ahoskie, North Carolina- 8.1
10. Brian Price- 6-1, 270 lbs, Los Angeles, California- 8.0
11. Tim Lamb- 6-1, 315 lbs, Tallahassee, Florida- 8.0
12. Will Blackwell- 6-4, 290 lbs, West Monroe, Louisiana- 7.9
13. Kevin Bryant- 6-6, 380 lbs, Hallandale, Florida- 7.9
14. Ian Williams- 6-1, 300 lbs, Longwood, Florida- 7.9
15. Roland Melancon- 6-2, 260 lbs, Lutcher, Louisiana- 7.8
Analysis: Once again, DT is a very strong position. Austin and Brown don't necessarily have the ideal size, but have unparalleled speed and quickness. Austin, who has been clocked as low as 4.78 in the 40, and Brown, who has the best first step in the country, are definitely going to be able to gain weight and continue their dominance at the next level. Bryant is the sleeper in this class. I've only had limited film on him, but he simply throws away his competition. He's not necessarily the fastest, but for his size, he has remarkable speed.
ILB's
1. Chris Galippo- 6-3, 235 lbs, Anaheim, California- 9.6
2. Chris Strong- 6-2, 240 lbs, Batesville, Mississippi- 8.4
3. Josh Bynes- 6-2, 225 lbs, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida- 8.3
4. Derrick Stephens- 6-3, 220 lbs, Cypress, Texas- 8.2
5. Von Miller- 6-2, 211 lbs, DeSoto, Texas- 8.1
6. Chris Colasanti- 6-2, 210 lbs, Lakeville, Michigan- 8.0
7. Bryce McNaul- 6-3, 235 lbs, Eden Prarie, Minnesota= 7.9
8. Kyle Jackson- 6-0, 225 lbs, McDonough, Georgia- 7.9
9. Bryce Smith 6-1, 215 lbs, Lawrenceville, Georgia- 7.9
10. John Stokes- 6-5, 225 lbs, Memphis, Tennessee- 7.8
Analysis- In my opinion, Chris Galippo is one of the better LB prospects we have seen in the past four or five seasons. USC continues their trend of getting the top LB prospect in the class with this one, as they?ve gotten Allen Bradford (2006, may play SS this year), Rey Maualuga (2005), and Keith Rivers (2004). Josh Bynes helped his stock quite a bit at the recent Nike Combine, as he was able to get his 40 yard dash time below the 5.02 he ran a year ago. Look for him to commit to Miami if he gets an offer, which he should.
OLB's
1. Austin Box- 6-3, 215 lbs, Enid, Oklahoma- 8.5
2. Andrew Dailey- 6-3, 215 lbs, Massillon, Ohio- 8.4
3. Steve Paskorz- 6-0, 208 lbs, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- 8.3
4. Manny Abreu- 6-4, 225 lbs, Union City, New Jersey- 8.3
5. Stefoin Francois- 6-2, 210 lbs, Reserve, Louisiana- 8.2
6. Dominique Buchanan- 6-1, 235 lbs, Gilmer, Texas- 8.1
7. Keenan Robinson- 6-3, 211 lbs, Plano, Texas- 8.1
8. Jermale Hines- 6-2, 197 lbs, Cleveland, Ohio- 8.0
9. Stanley Hunter- 6-0, 205 lbs, Duncan, South Carolina-7.9
10. Tyler Nielsen- 6-4, 215 lbs, Humboldt, Iowa- 7.8
Analysis: The common thread between all of these linebackers is speed. Austin Box, Andrew Dailey, and Stefoin Francois have enough speed that they can play safety in college if necessary. There is decent depth in this year's class. While Box is a very nice prospect, this crop lacks the elite level prospect last year's class had in Allen Bradford. It is a very nice class, but it just doesn't have that one can't miss prospect.
CB's
1. Ronald Johnson- 6-0, 177 lbs, Muskegon, Michigan- 9.1
2. Gary Gray- 5-11, 170 lbs, Columbia, South Carolina- 9.1
3. Joe McKnight- 5-11, 180 lbs, River Ridge, Louisiana-8.7
4. Eric Berry- 6-0, 180 lbs, Fairburn, Georgia- 8.6
5. Dionte Allen- 6-0, 175 lbs, Orchard Lake, Michigan- 8.5
6. Ryan Broyles- 5-11, 160 lbs, Norman, Oklahoma- 8.3
7. Phelon Jones- 6-1, 185 lbs, Mobile, Alabama- 8.3
8. Anthony Gildon- 6-1, 190 lbs, Westlake Village, California- 8.2
9. Marcus Gilchrist- 5-11, 175 lbs, High Point, North Carolina- 8.1
10. James Scott- 5-10, 170 lbs, Daytona Beach, Florida- 8.0
11. Ben Wells- 6-0, 175 lbs, Beaumont, Texas- 8.0
12. Jamaire Williams- 6-0, 180 lbs, Jacksonville, Florida-8.0
13. Ahmad Black- 5-11, 170 lbs, Lakeland, Florida- 7.9
14. Antoine Baker- 6-0, 171 lbs, Los Angeles, California-7.9
15. Wade Bonner- 5-10, 185 lbs, Somerville, Tennessee- 7.9
Analysis: There is tremendous depth in this class. Ronald Johnson, Gary Gray, and Joe McKnight are all definitely guys in contention for the #1 overall CB ranking. Williams is a tremendous athlete who has shut down ability. He looks college ready and will be have an immediate impact. Ronald Johnson may be the fastest prospect at the CB position. Gray is one of the best players in a great South Carolina class. Joe McKnight can play CB, WR, or RB on the next level and star with ease at any of those positions.
S's
1. Major Wright- 6-1, 200 lbs, Fort Lauderdale, Florida- 9.1
2. Michael Williams- 5-11, 180 lbs, Ventura, California- 8.9
3. Mark Barnes- 6-3, 190 lbs, Columbia, South Carolina- 8.6
4. Marshall Jones- 6-0, 185 lbs, Westlake Village, California- 8.5
5. Lorenzo Edwards- 6-2, 215 lbs, Orlando, Florida- 8.3
6. Jeremy Finch- 6-3, 200 lbs, Indianapolis, Indiana- 8.3
7. Artis Chambers- 6-2, 185 lbs, Fort Wayne, Indiana- 8.2
8. Corey Hart- 6-1, 205 lbs, Loachapoka, Alabama- 8.1
9. Tekkerein Cuba- 6-2, 180 lbs, Tyler, Texas- 8.1
10. James Thomas- 6-0, 170 lbs, La Marque, Texas- 8.0
11. Tejay Johnson- 6-0, 185 lbs, Garland, Texas- 8.0
12. Malachi Lewis- 6-4, 215 lbs, Oxnard, California- 7.9
13. Evan Rodriguez- 6-2, 211 lbs, Bergen, New Jersey- 7.9
14. Nate Oliver- 6-0, 195 lbs, Lakewood, Ohio- 7.9
15. David Arnold- 6-0, 185 lbs, Copley, Ohio- 7.9
Analysis: Major Wright is easily the biggest hitter in the country this year and he may be the biggest one since Oklahoma S Roy Williams. Antwine Perez, last year's top safety prospect, isn't on the same level as Wright. Michael Williams is a lockdown CB on the high school level, but I see him as a S at college. Mark Barnes, Gary Gray?s teammate, may not be a better player that Gray, but he is a significantly better athlete. With 4.5 speed and a 39-inch vertical jump, the rangy 6-3 Barnes can play on either side of the ball. Marshall Jones is just one of many D-1 prospects from Oaks Christian High School, including Jimmy Clausen and Marc Tyler.

- I list him at CB, but he can play WR and RB equally well in college
