Damn is that deal ridiculous. Randle El is nothing more than a slot receiver and pretty good return man. That pass in the Super Bowl sure made him a lot of money.

They plan on using him as a return man & #2 receiver! The Super Bowl pass indeed did do it!
Also in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette mentioned Kimo was in New York talking to the Jets!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers let Kimo go, and kept the younger Brent Keisel at DE.

Good for Randle El. I would've liked to see Pittsburgh keep him, but not at that price tag. As stated before, that pass made him a LOT of money. Washington is going to be very disappointed in that deal, IMO.

As much as it pains me to say, the Browns have been making some very good moves.

Getting Bentley was really nice for them.

Agreed. They made some good moves this weekend

Like to see Kimo back at a 1 year deal. Keisel has to be a priority. According to Prisuta the Steelers are negoiating with Batch, Keisel, and Hope. I expect all three to sign. Okobi already signed an extension through 2009. Hartings is reportedly going restructure his contract. I don't see the Steelers drafting Mangold now, he probably wouldn't make it to 32 anyways.

Bentley was the only very good move. Washington is 38 and got a 2 year deal worth 3.5 a year. He struggled all of last season. Shaffer was vastly overpaid. Jurevicious is 31 and is a 3rd or 4th wide receiver.

They were talking about this on teh radio yesterday. Bently was a great pick up, but allot of people are saying that the other lineman was overpaid, as no one really wanted him as a starter. Jurevicios could be a good pickup for them. He isn't a superstar but will give the Browns someone with a good set of steady hands across from Edwards. Washington who knows, he has never stayed anywhere long so that says something. One thing I don't understand is a 5 year deal for a punter.

Zastudil's a pretty damn good punter though.

I'll tell you this, the Browns are a better team now than before they made those moves and also I believe they had more cap room than anybody so they can afford to pay these guys.

I liked the Jurevicius pick-up especially.

I heard they made a deal with Batch. Too bad about Mangold!

At least their active I will give them that. They can afford it now but in 3 years it will kill their cap. Great drafts are more important than anything for the Browns.

This weekend FA deals will be good for the Brownies. You gotta have some veteran leadership to blend with all of the youth. I just hope their deals are structured so that we aren't pushing the cap limit in 2 years.

Edit- posted the same time as above post^^^^^^^

I agree they made some great moves, which I kind of like, because I would love to see the AFC North become a dominant force again. I remember one year where Houston, Cincy and Cleveland all made the playoffs. Shows how good a division is when 3 of the four teams make the playoffs.

I think the jurevicious pickup was a good move. Like I said he isn't a superstar but he is a good consistant player. Bentley everyone says was the best FA out there.

The other lineman sounds like it was a stretch.
