It's funny how everyone can talk shit about the lack of stats in a Super Bowl win, yet also be that same person that decries Peyton not hanging enough rings to be legit despite carrying teams to the Super Bowl on his back but not being able to play all 22 positions to ensure a win.

I'm getting a huge laugh out of all of this. Peyton is the best I've ever seen play the game and if he plays for New England, he has about 6-7 rings easy imo. Anyways, let the butthurt flow through them, it's pretty funny.

Nah - Manning is just at the end of his career...probably the best or 2nd best career ever depending on your POV.

Dilfer wasn't anything but a bust before that year in Baltimore....
My all-time QB is Steve Young - career passer rating of 97, 3-time Super Bowl champ - but Manning is right up there.

Great way to end his career (assuming he's at the end ... and honestly, he sure looks like he is).

So reading through the headlines today it sounds like Cam Newton is still the ass that many thought he was back in college. True character is revealed when the chips are down.

I really hope Manning retires. He is one of the best ever, but he's gone from elite to a game manager over the past few years. He only played half the season this year and didn't do a whole lot when he was out there. I don't see him getting a better ending that this. With his competitiveness I think he would be best suited to be a coach or personnel guy as opposed to a talking head.

They were going off on him on the radio this morning for backing away from that fumble. He may never live that down unless he explains himself.
Doesn't have to, Supposedly came out in warmups in a Super man shirt and gold shoes, not in team gear... Cam is about Cam and nothing more.

Terrible halftime show.

This times infinity.

First, I could not hear the words at all, and the music was muddled. CBS really shit the bed for sound during the halftime show and the player mic-up's.

Second, does the lead singer from Cold Play have a spine issue? Seemed like he has a hard time standing up straight.

Last, why were the announcers and every commercial break announcing the "halftime show is coming soon!!!11!1!" like it was the highlight of the whole evening.

Maybe he can also explain why the Panthers' gunners backed away from Jordan Norwood after he caught the punt without calling the fair catch.

Look, I understand the hostility toward Newton given some of his history. But, his teammates all love him, by all accounts, which is more than one can say about guys like Aaron Rodgers and Russ Wilson. And without Cam Newton the Panthers would've lost by 30. That pass rush the Broncos put on was brutally awesome.

Finally, Aqib Talib is a punk. Somebody needs to give him a chuck into next year. Maybe it can be EZE, next season.
