It was a good call. The guy grabbed the players arm and flung him. It didn't do any damage, but what the fuck are you doing as a coach?
It looked to me like he was trying to stop him from continuing and the players momentum caused the rest. They easily could have called a hit about of bounds on the bengals or a late hit on the play before. I think they called it to because of the jawing and to make sure things didn't get out of hand.

So Bryant makes an incredible catch in the end zone, but he bobbles it as he is making the catch. He finally secures it against his leg, but only gets one foot down after he secures the ball, but it is ruled a catch. I thought in the NFL you had to get both feet down AFTER the ball is secured and no longer bobbling. I disagree with the call, but that isn't my point here. I don't really watch the NFL much and don't care who wins by any means. The point is the replay crew looked at it, they had this angle as well as two other great angles that showed CLEARLY what happened. So the replay crew says the call STANDS. You say a call stands if you can't see what happened, but you could. This should be either an overturned or a confirmed. I think the replay crew saw that he didn't secure it until the first foot came up, but it was really close and it would be an amazing catch and wanted to give it to him, so they went with the scapegoat of 'stands'. I feel like I've seen this a lot through the season this year ( a lot in college) and it just pisses me off. Instead of making a hard decision or overturn a great play they just say the play stands.

The play "stood" because you can't really tell exactly when he had possession.....so the play went with the original call. I think he has the ball pinned against his calf with his toes still down before getting the second foot down. He then maintains control from the start of the flip all the way until he spikes it.

what the fuck? the crown of the helmet to the jaw and they can't bring that idiot Mike Carey on fast enough to explain why that's all perfectly fine.....but we're asking if THAT play was legal or not? it was a routine tackle of a guy who is hard as hell to bring down.
I really hate when they bring their "officials" dude during broadcast to make their Captain Obvious statements...
