The people who will look forward to this game: 1a and 1b) Giants fans and Patriot fans 2) Sports gurus who "called it" 3) that one losely interested NFL fan who gloms onto whatever professional sports teams are currently enjoying high levels of success. Personally, if my team is not in it, I do not want to see the same old familiar faces competing for the title...shit gets old.

I may have been interested in the Super Bowl if the 49ers made it. They have a lot of Buckeyes on the team and I liked the 49ers back in the 90's when everyone in the world was a Cowboys "fan".

Now? not so much.

Death threats in sports, some people are just [censored]ing crazy....

"I'm used to the years of criticism and threats on my life from time to time, but I have to hear about threats on your son's life while you're watching TV and it certainly makes you question our culture of sports as it stands."-- Kenny Williams, on death threats to his son Kyle

Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams questioned the "culture of sports" after his son Kyle received death threats on social media outlets following Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Williams' son is the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and kick returner who made two glaring miscues late in Sunday's game that helped the New York Giants advance to the Super Bowl.

As an example, I saw this on twitter last night:

@javpasquel: @KyleWilliams_10. I hope you, youre wife, kids and family die, you deserve it

:shake:

The user that wrote that no longer exists, but it was written to Kyle Williams last night.

I certainly get reallllly upset when it comes to sports, but I gotta agree with Peter Burns on this: "Kyle Williams gets paid handsomely to take harsh criticism, however he's not paid to take hate crime or death threats."

Pffft. That's not a "death threat". That's a "death wish". Big difference. :shake:

I'm pretty sure Patrick Willis retweeted one of that POS's tweets so people could see it. I'm also pretty sure his profile said he was a Christian. Thought that was kinda odd.

I was pretty pissed about it (clearly based on my first post in this thread), but I calmed down fairly quickly and I'm just looking forward to next season now. Death threats are from people who have some mental issues. I hope some legal action is taken against those who are insane enough to publicly issue death threats.
