Not really worried about them... they're pretty depleted of skill on offense to keep up with what we have. You're right though that the environment will be toughAnd at Wisconsin.

1. Indiana will provide no challengeView attachment 34167
With an offense that probably won't be as reliable in a shootout and the same old same old on defense, there are several potential landmines on the schedule next year.
Starting a first time QB on the road, at night (you know it will be) in conference is dicey.
WKU pissing all over this defense doesn't sound like a lot of fun right now
at Notre Dame
At Wisky the week after the annual Penn State war (which means they are in the annual post Penn State let down spot)
At tsun
Day loses 3 in the regular season next year with the last one in that mix and Gene has to start thinking about it.
Personally I think all of those players return (not Proctor though).Another aspect for consideration:
Who opts to move on:
Aside from the general attrition of players buried on the depth chart.
Steele says he is coming back.
Tommy 2 Thumbs?
Stover?
Procter?
Wypler?
Cody Simon/P. Gaotoede
I would expect some attrition in the wr room from kids that didn’t play a non-garbage time snap and may have been recruited over.
Myian - he only played a few snaps last night.
Right... PG and Proctor probably are going pro but I think everyone else returns. I think Matthew Jones will return too.I thing PG has indicated he will move on.
He never got his footing here.
Steele, Tommy, Wypler, Cade returning would be huge.
I'm done with expecting a B1G title and beating scUM each year. Those have been my expectations for 20 years. I'm not expecting that anymore because I don't know that we can. Go out, do it, and prove me wrong.
With this defense and who knows what at QB, I'm not writing anything off next year. Could be 11-1, could be 7-5. I have no idea.Yep. I don’t think we are gonna lose 3 games like some. I fully expect that they’ll at least win 10 games, but unless something significantly changes from now until next November there’s not much confidence in them beating Michigan. Day just doesn’t have it when it comes to the big stage.

The average fan has no idea how hard that WKU-ND back to back game is going to be.
Assuming Austin Reed maintains pledge to stay at WKU, that kid can sling it….and is pretty mobile. Hell, I think he’d win the QB competition at OSU if he ever decided to transfer.
Then ND the following week…..and they just got a huge transfer in Sam Hartman so their QB situation is now stabilized for 2023.
Next year doesn’t set up very well, that’s for sure.
Outback Bowl assured.and let's not forget a trip to everyone's favorite spot in Indiana. I fucking hate playing Purdue.
