Now, the hard part of transitioning to retirement will begin. I suggest you draw up an informal list of things you love doing and want to do. And talk to a professional investor about what you want to do, your goals. He can be a great help.
And you don't have to stop working even if you don't financially need to.
You may find it better to at least work part time.

I've already accepted a position...contractor at Fort Sill...so should be a fairly easy transition.
