You may notice a 2d 300x250 ad in threads as of this afternoon. It's a new advertiser and they're offering coupons for a free sample of their biofuel-driven charcoal-alternative grilling heat source.

Wasn't asked to pimp them in the forums, just wanted to point out that they're giving these things away to us.

I did the form and it sends the coupon to email for printing. The coupon says to check the name printed on the coupon against ID, which seems reasonable seeing as they're giving you free stuff, so don't fill in your BP username. I used initials, and will see if they take it that way tomorrow.

Maybe so. Better to just send up a balloon and tell the media the burner snuck in and is now trapped up there, cold and frightened.

Why not? The oil leak went from the Gulf, up the Rio Grande, and crossed a few hundred miles of desert to get to Taos, where if flared up the grill.

If you haven't already taken advantage of the coupon for the free Flamedisk, it would help us out if you would take a moment and do so. It's something you can just print out, you don't have to give up your postal address or anything that might expose you to more marketing.

The campaign is going to end soon, and I guess our click-throughs have underwhelmed the company compared to some of the other sites they tested out. Which is to say that if and when they buy a bigger campaign, we may be the odd dogs out.

The better we can do on direct campaigns like this, the less we need when it comes to drives. I absolutely hate pimping ads, but at least this one is a free offer with a product that has a practical purpose.
