I'm sure everybody has their superstitions, and no, I don't mean the players, I mean the fans. Whether it's your lucky jersey, your lucky seat, your pregame/tailgate meal, or whether or not you attend the game, we're all responsible for how the team performs on Game Day.

So, in the aftermath of the game that everyone would like to forget, and with a new season starting tomorrow, what do you do with your <insert lucky item here>?

I'm debating whether I wear my 2005/06 Fiesta Bowl replica AJ Hawk jersey tomorrow. It was my lucky jersey. Was.

I'm going to wear my Troy Smith jersey with the national title game logo on it. Yeah, we got killed that game, but at least we made it to the title game and last season was still a great ride. Besides, I gotta get my $50 worth out of it...

I have a #45 home jersey that I wear when the Bucks are at home, and, a #2 away jersey I wear for away games. Also, I fly what I would guess is one of only two Ohio State flags in Kansas, ( the other one was stolen off my porch last October).:oh:

I shave my head within a day or two of each home game...seriously...it's only lost me 2 games (Wisky '04 & Texas '05) since becoming a Stadium Usher in 2003.

As for Wisconsin and the Longhorns...:smash: NOT SHORT ENOUGH...but 2 home losses in 4 years aint terrible.

I have lots of stuff, and always try to get one or two new things each year.

I have one that's very special, though. The night before the scUM game in 2002, my late wife gave me my first piece of Buckeye gear. I'll have that always--that's the one I wear when the stakes are really high.

I can't wear any Buckeyes gear on game day. If I do, I jinx the team and they lose. That little idiosyncrasy earned me some weird looks at several of the Chittenden riots (Err, I mean game days) during my three years on that crazy street.

Per her majesty Holbrook, we are now to refer to such activities as "drunken orgies." Thank you for your future cooperation.

I made it a point to wear a different jersey for each game I went to. That was four games. Always a home jersey. The home games I didn't go to, I still wore a jersey, but I wore the same one more than once, in that case. For the road games, I always wore a white jersey for every game. The only thing was that, begining in 2005, I quit wearing my two #13 jerseys. I wore my red #13 for the Texas game. Then, I wore my white #13 for the Penn State game. Since then, I've never worn either of those jerseys. Pretty good streak, for a while. But it ended when 2007 began. I don't know if I'm going to try a #13 jersey this season. Maybe I should, for an "easy" game.
