this is the plate designed by the first lady, and temporarily scrapped due to the econ situation as the repubs accused strickland of making it a "tax" to force new plates on every driver, granted the state had already gone through with manu hundreds of thousands (maybe it was 1m, either way a huge quantity). not surprise

granted the increase to $11.25 from $6.50 is likely not a surprise...

They decided to discontinue that practice when some redneck cops got the bright idea of hauling a boatload of young Brothers in for vehicular violations when the county stickers got obscured. (It was a violation for a time if the sticker were not "clearly visible.")

Stink was raised because Dublin doctors driving S500s through Muirfield with Crown Motors tag frames that covered the county ID were not similarly ticketed. Ergo, no more county stickers.
