May have been that show. I can't remember, but I do know it was on History Channel.
They showed it and it was a squared-shape box. Looked like it had about 50-60 holes on it and there was multiple rounds in each hole.

"What's all this I hear about Modern Marbles? What's wrong with the ones I used as a little kid?"
its called metal storm. they are still in the testing phase but it will likely replace the close in weapons systems for the navy.
It has a matrix grid of over 100 barrels, and rounds are loaded down the barrels in line and are fired electronically in rapid succession. I believe it had a max burst rate of approaching a million round per minute...when they shot it, the fire rate was so fast that it made a real loud buzzing sound instead of a bunch of bursts.
My favorite was always "endangered feces".
"What do you mean endangered? I can go out in my back yard and show you some right now!"
I haven't seen that one before. That's hilarious! It has a matrix grid of over 100 barrels, and rounds are loaded down the barrels in line and are fired electronically in rapid succession. I believe it had a max burst rate of approaching a million round per minute...when they shot it, the fire rate was so fast that it made a real loud buzzing sound instead of a bunch of bursts.
yep, that be the one. i believe they are working on individual fire systems as well. multiple rounds in a single barrel. no clips and few moving parts. very interesting conscept.
