I just got back from a six day "work" trip to New Jersey (Medford to Atlantic City). My appolgies to anyone from Jersey (especially Bon Jovi if he is a BP member), but that place sucks. I was stationed there from 1994-1996 and had forgotten how much I disliked it. I have never seen more horn happy people in one place. Once the traffic light turns green, you don't even get a 2 second buffer to go.

I probably shouldn't complain about a free trip to Atlantic City, but I'm not much of a gambler (although I did win $500 by putting $5 into the nickel slot machines!)

Anybody else been to Jersey?
 
The one and only time I was there the icing on the cake for me to never return was the woman I saw on the boardwalk, playing "Amazing Grace" on an electric keyboard with her tongue while laying on a hospital gurney.


Never, never again.

Princeton and Atlantic City would be the only two reasons for ever going there. My better half and I go out to AC once or twice a month; they've done a pretty good job of cleaning the place up with a lot of high-end stores along the casino fronts.

NJ isn't a bad place. Theres just too many people there.

About a third the size of Ohio and comparable population.

We went back to NJ for the Kickoff Classic in 99 (ugh!) Dad was driving from Wisconsin, us from Columbus.

We arranged to meet at one of the Garden State Parkway plazas. Dad pulls up gets out of the car and promptly says he has been back in NJ for only 20 minutes and he is already pissed off.
