New feature recently?

I was wondering.

Yesterday everything was normal on BP, but today, when I log in, I see blue highlights that are double underlined like: "Ohio State Basketball" or "The general" or "OSU football" on the main forums page. Hate them.

Is this a new feature or did someone just install adware on my computer? If the latter, how do I get it off?

I'm using firefox. And I don't see them when I open the page with chrome. So I am guessing I have something installed by cnet (from where I downloaded an older version of oracle XE database). How do I get it off?

uninstall it from programs... should be listed there as "CNET toolbar" or something like that.
