Hey Domer Chief, it sounds like you feel you're as beyond reproach when you were a kid as you feel you are now. It's GOT to stem from being a Domer...

I'll be damned if I'd EVER stand around and let ANYONE damage my property. As long as you know the parents, just talk to them. Tell them the kids have hit your house, and you expect them to pay for any damages done. Get involved with the proper authorities if the parents are less than receptive.

Make sure you support the kids though. As has already been stated, they're a bunch of bastards. Go out there and make them some lemonade or something, and be cool with them and ask them to stop. If they're nice about it, you might be ok. If they continue... just make em special lemonade next time...

I never said I would let any kid get away with damaging my housw what I said was they are kids and there are easy ways to handle them.

Now I am going to go outside and play catch with my 8 year old . The kid can catch anything I throw at him.

Thanks for all your recommendations. Let me tell you a little bit about these
boys parents. This is no bullshit either, I feel like I live next to the Munsters. When we first moved to the subdivision(2000) I was sitting on the front rocking porch and noticed Larry(the Dad) was using a handsaw to cut down a dead maple tree which was approximately 10 feet from the driveway. The way the tree was leaning it looked like it may hit one of his 3 cars parked in the driveway, but I figured he knew what he was doing. Well about thirty minutes later I watched the tree crash down on his car. I grabbed my chainsaw and helped get the tree off the car and cut the tree up for him.(Laughing my ass off under my breath the whole time). A couple years later(sitting on the front porch again) I noticed at this time 3 year old daughter was leaning against the screen in the window of her bedroom(this was summertime and there power had been cut off) I had told my wife that she may fall out of the window. Well a few days later found out that she had and landed in the bushes(this is from the second story BTW). Also found out that they never took her to doctor/hospital because of no insurance. These kids in the winter time run around with no shoes/shirts on.
The 3 year now 5 or 6 rides her bike w/o helmet and craches about every 20 feet. I almost run over twice a week. And to top it all off this couple owned and operated a day care for 7 years.

Sounds like a story for Maury to me.

I have a pretty simple solution - For Sale! You need to get out of that neighborhood. It is only going to get worse as those kids get older.

BuckinMich,
The neighborhood is not bad except for a few bad apples. Houses cost between 140K-180K. I purchased a fixer upper for 128K and recently had it appraised for 155K. It is just these unruly kids in the hood that have no common sense or respect for people. I have tried to be friendly to neighbors but these parents do not give a shit. I actually cut my neighbor's grass for free whom is a 55(widow) and works two jobs so that she can pass money on to her children. Since I am off for the next 5 days and hear a baseball hit my house I think I will take up the thread about hitting golf balls at their house, except I will be using my 440CC driver to make sure it penetrates through the window.

Alright, 'fess up. You really live in Tallahassee, don't you? Do your neighbors fly a "Seminoles" flag?

we used to play football and baseball and when it would be hit or go into the neighbors yard, he would rip our ass. he mows his grass like everyday. so we got yelled at for this, and learned to play the other way cuz it was longer.
