So I turned on my computer today, and turns out my comp has some kind of virus/trojan. My symantec email will not stop sending out spam emails. the symantec email scanner will not stop running and at the top of the error messages that pop up constantly, "Symantec Email Proxy"....anyone know how to deal with this?
Thanks

Error: "Symantec Email Proxy" when starting your computer
Temporarily disable your firewall

I have Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall
1 Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall. 2 Click
Status & Settings. 3 Click
Security.4 Click
Turn Off. 5 In the Protection Alert window, click
Permanently for how long you want to turn off the Firewall. 6 Click
OK. 7 Restart your computer. If your computer starts without the "Symantec Email Proxy" message, then change the settings in the firewall program so that the program allows the following file to connect to the Internet: ccemlpxy.exe 8 Reenable the firewall.
What if this didn't work?

I have a firewall, but it is not a Norton product 1 Follow the instructions in the documents for that firewall to temporarily disable it. 2 Restart your computer.
