    • I have a friend who suspects her son is using a substance called "boat"

    She thinks it has something to do with formaldehyde.. neither of us have been able to find out much about this... especially what damage it can cause... she thought it was like angel-dust of old... she pretty much knows he smokes pot and isn't overly concerned with basic pot since she doesn't want to be a hypocrite "I was in college too"

    I could use some edification... either here or via PM

    This site claims it is marijuana soaked in formaldehyde.

    This site claims both mj w/formaldehyde AND / OR PCP AKA Love boat plus many other terms as well.

    General google search results for "marijuana and formaldehyde" here.

    There are many many online places to purchase home drug testing kits that will include results for PCP.

    agreed. Being a good parent sometimes involves being a hypocrite. Mom needs to be a mom.

    My guess is... neither of you are old enuf to have teenage children...

    Will be interesting to know how you two will answer questions your teens will pose to you about what you did... whether you fess up... doesn't matter... not germane to the thread or what I need...

    I understand her logic impeccably...
