Need 2 tickets Akron game for Bachelor Party Weekend

Hey guys. I am looking for 2 tickets to the Akron game. I saw the post on the Schott problem is that we will be going out on Friday night and I live in Lexington, KY.

I am going up to watch the Browns vs. Steelers home opener at CBS and would like to stop by and catch my first OSU game.

I am the Browns backers president here in Lexington and also am a huge Buckeye fan.

If you have any extras, that would be awesome and would make for an awesome weekend for my bachelor party.

The prices at ebay and stubhub etc. (brokers) are outrageous. I just can't afford that with a wedding to pay for.

I hope to here from you guys, even if you have suggestions on where else can I look for tickets.

Thanks and GO BUCKEYES!!!

If you would like to check, my name is Wil Lester and you can check the Browns official site to show my loyalty to Ohio St. and the Browns.

Appreciate it. I hope to be hearing from someone.

Try taking a stroll down Lane Avenue the morning of the game. I'm sure someone will be happy to sell you a couple of tickets at a more reasonable rate than what they are asking online. I'm thinking there should be plenty tickets available. Bring a seating chart so you know what you are paying for. You will, of course, pay more to a scalper than you would a Buckeye fan just looking to unload some extra tix....so keep that in mind when approaching a seller. Just my $ 0.02

Thanks but it is just going to be tough getting up the next morning early to make there in time to find the stadium, find a decent deal, and get in the stadium by 12, when living 4 hours away.

I was hoping to get a couple extras from a fellow Buckeye or someone with a decent price for a roll-over game like the Zips..

Called the ticket office today she said they are sold out totally for the Akron game and would only have some extras if Akron returns some tickets to them.

This still leaves me in a bind. I need tickets before I come up. I will be up all night. I do not have time to drive 4 hours and get there at 8 or 9 am to stand in line.

Oh, well I will still pray and you all keep your eyes open it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the info.

Plan to arrive in Columbus EARLY! If you have never been to an OSU football game ,you have no idea how bad the traffic is on football Saturdays! It's horrible!!! Do not even go to bed Friday night!! After the bars close in Lexington, begin your drive to Columbus, stop at a damn Waffle House, get some nourishment, and get to campus before the traffic gets bad (Seriously). Arrive early, get some tix from a scalper (maybe me), enjoy some beer, brats, and music at Hineygate. Then walk over to the game. Trust me you don't want to arrive in Columbus a mere hour before kickoff. How long of a drive is it from Lexington anyways?

It is a 4 hour drive and no way am I getting there early or buying the tickets day of. I just won't worry about it and go some other time. I am huge Browns fan and have tickets to the Browns/Steelers opener the next day. Just thought it would be nice to see my Buckeyes for the first time. But not worth the leaving at 4 am price and then get raped on tickets for the Buckeyes to stomp Akron.

I just think it is silly considering how big the shoe is that people want 125 a ticket for crap seats to the Akron game.

I live in Lexington, we LOVE our basketball but the people only pay for Tennesse, Florida, North Carolina, Indiana, and Louisville. That is it. Every game is sold out completely. We sell out here at Kentucky but when play Kent St. you would be lucky to get face value for them.

Just ridiculous. i was hoping to find a buckeye who had some extras or couldn't make to the game. Not wake up at 4 am, buy off a scalper, in that case I would just buy off ebay save myself 4 hours sleep and speed up to Columbus.

Guess that just shows you how special Ohio State Football is.... but I don't think you'd have a difficult time getting scalped. Early or not... outside Hineygate you should be able to negotiate a decent deal.
