Need 2 for Northwestern

My friend (and sometimes brother) has come with me for every home game this year and last, and most of them the year before.

Many of the games we got tickets on line at Hang On Sloopy .com the week before the game. If we couldn't get them that way he would come over with me and scalps tickets, usually at very reasonable prices (you'd be surprised at how many people are over there just wanting to get rid of extra tickets for face value, and not wanting to sell to scalpers).

But this year, we found out that tickets almost always become available game day and are sold at the Schott at an outside window next to the will call entrance. We bought face value tickets for the Texas Game on game day from this window. A man in line with us says he's gone to the last few tOSU / Michigan home games buying @ face value from that window.

The thing is you have to get in line pretty early if it's a big game (I wouldn't think NW, even though they're doing well and the whole "revenge" factor would be too hard to get). I believe the window opens aound 8 or 8:30. My buddy and I are usually in line by around 7:30 and there are already 25 or 30 people in front of us (there were about 75 for the Texas game, and some of the scalpers paid homeless people to spend the night in line to hold their spot.)

The ticket office won't tell you any of this (I've called and asked). Once a game has been technically "sold out" it must be policy to not tell anyone about returne tickets or something. Theyll just tell you that it is a sold out game and they don't expect tickts to become available, but they always do.

So good luck. It should be a good game. And GO BUCKS!

EDIT:

P.S.
What I've posted is just what my experiences have been this year. So please don't plan a trip to Columbus, get a hotel, shell out lots of cash and bank on getting tickets to "The Game" of the year or anything because of me. But now that I've given my little disclaimer, I hope it helps and lots of you get to see the games you want, when you previously thought it unlikely or impossible.
