Let me start by saying I made a bet in 2004. An Army buddy of mine, who also happens to be a Hawkeye fan, bet me tickets to a future tOSU vs. Iowa game at the winners home stadium. He declared before the season(before I knew that MoC would not be playing) that Iowa would not only win the BigTen Championship, but they would also beat tOSU by more than 15 AND win their bowl game! I called him crazy and took that bet in heartbeat. He got re-stationed overseas shortly before the season, so I figured I was probably never going to see the tickets that he was undoubtedly going to owe me.

On to the season. First came the meeting between the two teams. Ohio state suffered their worst ever loss at Kinnick Stadium (33-7). Next came the BigTen Championship. On the final day of the season tOSU was set to play an 8-1(undefeated in the BigTen) UM team, and Iowa had to play an 8-1 Wisconsin team. Things were not looking good for my man's bet at all. An tOSU or Iowa loss would have made UM the lone BigTen champs. I obviously was not going to root against the Bucks, so I needed Wisconsin to pull out a win for me. They did not.

On to the bowl game. Directly from Wikipedia:
In a game that was originally thought to be a defensive matchup, the Hawkeyes took a 24?12 lead early in the fourth quarter. But behind freshman quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the Tigers stormed back, and took a one-point lead with 46 seconds remaining. However, LSU's comeback was all for naught, as Iowa's Drew Tate completed a 56-yard touchdown pass to Warren Holloway as time expired, giving Iowa the 30?25 win and a 10-2 final record.

I had not heard from my old army buddy since then. I had actually forgotten all about the bet myself. A couple of days ago I received this email:

Subject: What's up man!?

Hey man, I just came down on orders to come back to Carlisle! Are you still there? If so, you know you owe me tickets to the game right?

He went on to say he understands if I can't follow through since it has been 6 years... I can't let that happen.

If anyone can part with two tickets to this game (I don't care where in the stadium - it would be nice to not have to pay $200 a piece for some crappy tickets though) it would be greatly appreciated. Just reply here or shoot me a pm. Thanks, and seriously... what were the chances of losing that bet?
