Nebraska's Matt Rhule 'embarrassed' after Bill Belichick's trip to campus

Nebraska coach Matt Rhule said this week he was "embarrassed" following a recent visit from Bill Belichick, who dropped considerable football acumen on his football team.

"He is so smart, he's seen so much that he can make the complex so simple that it humbles you and embarrasses you," Rhule said. "I was embarrassed yesterday listening to him, how smart he is, how simple it was."

According to Husker247, the eight-time Super Bowl winner spent 4.5 hours with Nebraska's coaching staff exclusively last week following a clinic and his conversations were quite impactful.

"He's a great friend and really loyal man," Rhule said, via Husker247. "I got fired, he and Andy Reid were two of the first people that called me. I was thinking about taking this job, he called me and was like, 'I really think Nebraska is a great place.' I got the job, he sent me a bottle of Dom Perignon and said, 'Hey, congratulations.' I ask him to come speak at the clinic. He says yes. His son (Steve) takes a defensive coordinator job for Washington in our conference and Jedd Fisch who has worked for him – great friends, he still comes. So just an unbelievably loyal guy."

Nebraska's Dylan Raiola shines in spring game debut: Five-star freshman takes control of starting QB battle

Dylan Raiola looked like the real deal for the Huskers.

Nebraska football five-star freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola did little to temper high expectations on Saturday during the Huskers spring game. Raiola shined in his public debut at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln throwing two first half touchdowns, including a deep 64-yard connection to sophomore receiver Jaylen Lloyd. Raiola completed 16 of 22 passes for 239 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

"I think Dylan's had a very good spring," Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said. "... It's going to be the little things with Dylan, not the big things, right. He's got a great feel for the game, he's got a big-time arm. He's calm. It's going to be the little things, it's going to be protecting the football, taking three (points), managing the game. It just felt like he did a lot of those things. But he hasn't done all them. He's grown as the spring's gone on."
