Huskers, short-handed again, face No. 6 Ohio State

For those of you waiting for Jorge Brian Diaz and Dylan Talley to return from injury, you'd better be patient.

They'll both miss a fifth straight game Tuesday when the Nebraska men's basketball team plays at No. 6 Ohio State, and coach Doc Sadler doesn't know when they'll be ready to play.

In fact, Sadler admitted the possibility of neither player returning this season.

Ohio State basketball looks to avoid consecutive losses and beat Nebraska - The Lantern

The Nebraska basketball team (8-5, 0-2) travels to Columbus Tuesday night for the first time as a member of the Big Ten Conference, looking to hand No. 6 Ohio State (13-2, 1-1) its second conference loss of the young season.

It will be the first time the two schools have met on the hardwood in nearly 23 years. The Buckeyes won the last meeting, 85-74, in the second round of the 1989 NIT tournament and lead the all-time series 4-2, including winning the last three consecutive meetings.

The transition into Big Ten hoops hasn't been kind to Nebraska and the front end of its conference schedule couldn't be any more difficult.

It's the third straight conference game for both schools, but for Nebraska it's the third straight game in which they face a top-20 opponent.

Raggedy first half. We still don't seem confident on either end with what Matta wants us to do. A lot of standing around and waiting on athletic ability to win games. Fortunately for the Bucks they are one of the most athletic teams in the nation but teams like Indiana can beat them by executed better than they do.

Hopefully the comfort level changes soon and they really come together.

23-11 Buckeyes 6:37 left first half

Sloppy with the ball that possession.

They do appear to be getting better spacing now than they were early on. At least we are getting the ball going around the perimeter now and getting a lot better looks.
