Coach Tressel went for it on 4th down against Purdue back in 2002. That play was executed. The play today was not.
End Result both teams won regardless.
Credit WF as they were bound and determined to not have a 0-2 start to this season. Nebraska loses this type of game on road in 2002-2006.

One team was trailing late in the game, the other was up by 3 points. One team, by NOT going for it, would have been essentially forfeiting the game. The other team, by NOT going for it, would have made their opponent drive farther down the field to attempt a game-tying field goal.
