Kentucky beat Army 10-7.
Man, my QBs are about as accurate as your's truly taking a drunk-piss with the lights off.
I thought I had him. I thought I fucking had him. I burned my last timeout. It was 3rd and long, he had the ball, and there was a minute to go in the game. I figured he would think I would go all out to stop the run and I called a play to defend the screen. You know what? He threw a screen! I had my SS right there waiting for him! I had him! He'd have to punt the ball and I'd get it back for one last drive!
...then he did the spin move. Fucker.
It wasn't a screen. I had every intention of throwing the crossing pattern, but that was covered (I think...it happened pretty fast), so I threw it to what I thought was single coverage in the flat. I didn't see that there was still a corner sitting there off-screen, because I was looking up-field at the crossing pattern. Luckily, the corner wasn't in any position to make a play, and the safety over-pursued on the spin move.
Good game man. I think that I started to figure out the passing game in the second half, but it's going to take me a while to remember how to run out of the I-formation and the shotgun again. Good thing that this will be my last human opponent, in this dynasty, until a possible CCG re-match with Whobe.
You hurt my starting QB, James Hunter, for 3 weeks, and I had to pull the redshirt for my 90 OVR sophomore QB Stanley Thompson. Jimmy Evans was my backup QB, and is a respectable 75 OVR at QB, but he isn't a very good passer. Hunter and Evans were two good runners for the flexbone, but Evans was an ATH recruit, that in a non-flexbone offense should go back to playing cornerback, since that's his best position. Hopefully, Thompson doesn't get hurt too, and I end up pulling the redshirt from my 85 OVR freshman QB.
