Had to try and sleep off the pissed off...didn't work. That was the stupidest game that I've been involved with.
It started off by EA servers sucking a big fat dick, and delaying the start of the game for 45 minutes, and several retries.
I played my best game running the flexbone, so far. I made one bonehead late pitch and got fucked in the ass for it. It gets picked off and run back to near the 10 yard line. Basebuck scores a couple of plays later to go up 21-17.
Basebuck has multiple throws into coverage, under pressure, and it just bounces off of the hands of the defender that it was thrown directly to. I did have interceptions set to conservativefor some of those, but not all of them, and I've never had a problem catching interceptions with that setting. Especially when the ball is thrown directly to a DB or LB, or when a safety has a better play on a lob than the receiver that's standing 5 yards away.
I had 8 guys in the box the entire game and couldn't stop the running game. Yeah, it was a 4-2-5 defense, but both of those strong safeties are the size of linebackers...one of them actually is a linebacker. Both guys at SS have an 88 or 96 block shedding rating. Both were getting locked up by WRs. Whether they were actually WRs or TEs is irrelevant. They had the size blocking ratings of WRs. Late option pitch after late option pitch, and only two fumbles. One of those fumbles was on one of at least two non-option plays 20+ yards down the field when his RB tried pitching the ball to any random player in the vicinity. The bitch of it is, that I had my gameplan set to cover the pitch man. Apparently cover the pitch man means don't get off your blocks, and don't fucking cover anyone.
Another cool thing about this game is that Piney did turn off 'Ice The Kicker', but I still got iced at the end of the first half. I made the FG anyway, but still, great job EA. Apparently my senior QB gained a ton of composure since his last road game, because I never had the squiggly lines associated with homefield advantage. Maybe if Piney had turned off homefield advantage it would actually turned off Ice The Kicker, and not homefield advantage...then again, the homefield advantage may just mean that you can make 20 bad plays, and only have two turnovers.
