NCAA09 PS3 MAC Dynasty

IronBuckI

Calmer than you are.
NCAA09 PS3 MAC Dynasty Sign-Up

Check here for the Official thread

I want to get a Dynasty going that will feature more human vs. human games. Choosing which conference will be up to the majority of players in the league. The Big Ten will not be one of the options though.

Post in this thread if you are interested in getting something like this going.

This will definitely be a slower moving dynasty than the other PS3 dynasty(now that we've gotten rolling), but think this would be a good way to get human vs. human experience without playing with quitters and cheesers.

MAC Dynasty:

All-American (for now)

I'll use the current sliders from the other Dynasty, unless we can find better ones. I'm open to any and all suggestions for sliders.

Available teams:
MAC(East)
Akron
Bowling Green - Bleed S&G
Buffalo
Kent State - fanaticbuckeye
Miami - Buckeymania11
Ohio - Piney
Temple - BuckeyeNation27

MAC(West)
Ball State - Basebuck
Central Michigan - IronBuckI
Eastern Michigan -
Northern Illinois - THEWOOD
Toledo - SparkyOSU
Western Michigan (unavailable)

WAC, MWC, Sun Belt only - I would be interested.
Those are the ones that I prefer as well, because everyone plays everyone else. If there are more than 9 people interested, I would include Conf USA into that mix as well.

The Sunbelt is my #1 preference because all of the teams are terrible. No team rated higher than 72 overall (I believe). It is also tied with one or two other conferences for the best balance. I don't have my spreadsheet of teams here at work, but I think that there is only 10 points between the best and worst teams.

Great post, I agree.

Of course I will be interested. But one cavaet, if this league gets big (ie more than 8-10 teams) I might get on the fence of playing. I think a conference dynasty with about 6-8 guys would be perfect as the pace wouldn't be bad and the bad live players (like me) can at least win 1-2 conference games.

Now about conference I would love to be in a MAC dynasty as I have yet to start my offline dynasty with Ohio and would love to play with them (still kicking myself I didn't pick them in our big one)

But since I have my spreadsheet with the team ratings...

CUSA is probable has the most balance with team ratings from 67 to 77 with most teams rated 72&74
MAC - 64-79
MWEST - 62-79
SUN - 62-72 (with most of them in the 67-69 range)
WAC - 60-77

MAC is cool because it should just be renamed "The Ohio Valley D1A Conference" but I still like the felling of building the whole program (except during year one, taking over as head coach is always boring in year one).

I also agree not every game should be Human vs Human so it is still minorly competive for "not as good" players. Going 0-for every year is fun nor beneficial to recruiting....

Sun Belt may take way to long to actually build a semi decent team also though... thats my next question... Will it really be fun if you have a no-name 60 rating team and you know your screwed for a good 3-5 years?

I am down, and I would like to do the MAC as well but the conference really doesnt matter to me

and that is true

any conference but the Sun Belt........

I'm fine with doing the MAC. I would want it to exclude W. Mich, and N. Illinois so that will keep us within 10 ratings points of each other in the first season and still gives us 11 teams to choose from.

We have 7 players so far. We can start talking about settings while we wait to see if we can get 1 more player.

I'm going to go ahead and give Ohio to Piney. I'm going to take Eastern Michigan because my Nephew is a freshman pitcher for them this year. I could be convinced to not be EMU if someone else just has to be them.
