NCAA09 PS3 BP Online Dynasty

I just finished my preseason tasks.

Damn...I still have absolutely no 5* recruits interested in me.

Also, I noticed something strange when reordering my depth chart, and that is the player ratings in the depth chart are different than the ratings elsewhere. Here's an example. My 3* WR was rated a 77 during the offseason. In the depth chart, he's an 84. I don't know about you, but an 84 OVR WR with 94 SPD should be a 5*, not a 3*. Also, Richard Barbato was an OVR 69 as a freshman but an OVR 75 in the depth chart.

Here's another weird thing. When doing position changes, I was debating where to put my 4* ATH. At first I put him at CB where he was an OVR 76 with 89 SPD and 80 ACC. I thought the 89 SPD would be more beneficial at a safety position, but when I tried, his SPD was lowered to 75. What's up with that? I ended up leaving him at CB and redshirting him.

When you promise a player that they start, they often increase OVR ratings. I don't think it does it all the time, but it definitely happens. After year 1, they go back down (which results in a decrease in rating). The best part of it all....their OVR rating goes up, but nothing else increases, so they still SUCK!

Piney, give me Baylor again.

I'm kind of thinking differently about this class. These guys are either going to start as Freshman or probably never see the field. I doubt we have more than 2 seasons left.

im sure youll beat me out for every fast guy we are both after once again

I doubt it. I'm either 1st or 10th for eveyone I'm after.

same here

except only like 2 guys had me as first, everyone else 5th-10th but since we likely only have 2 or maybe 3 years left in this dynasty ill take the risk of whiffing

According to past seasons, this one will end in mid to late June, just a few weeks before 10 is released.

The weird thing for me is that I'm not competing with other users for many players. I have like 6 4 and 5* athletes that have me 1 too. Weird recruiting year for me

I really think we are on almost every recruit together...at least the ones on my board.

Seems like a really shitty class coming in though. I noticed a lot of QBs highly rated.

Of all the handicaps that they place on position changes that's the one that I don't understand at all. Moving a corner to safety doesn't make him any slower. Moving Piney's stud ATH to corner shouldn't give him less ACC than moving him to WR would have.

I would actually like to see them get away from the CB, SS, and FS recruits and just make DB recruits, and to some extent do the same with LB, DL, and OL recruits. Some guys are going to be obviously better at a "natural" position, but would still be serviceable at a similar position.

I hadn't noticed that and I moved a lot of guys around to get more speed on the field. Guess I better pay attention more.

It's depressing me with all the talk of how you're recruiting for this next year. I only have about 5-6 players that will see any PT next year on my board. All the rest are redshirtable.

Anyone have any ideas for the 2010 league? Gonna make a super conference? Or just keep it like this with our own conferences and a few user games?
