Well, the offseason is officially complete and we are now at Pre-Season. So preseason recruiting, redshirts & depth charts. Along with me customizing schedules.

*** Next deadline will be Sunday ***
Basically it will take me a bit to get the schedules going, and it will give everyone a chance to breathe and catch up on your team if you missed a couple of advancements.

Here are the teams in the pre-season Top 25

#1 - OHIO STATE!
#11 - Michigan State
#13 - Colorado
#15 - South Florida
#17 - Rutgers
#18 - Oklahoma State
#20 - Kentucky
#21 - BYU
#23 - Texas A&M

Of course Air Force, Army, ECU & SMU are unranked.

Of course if everyone gets done I will advance it. Luckily I was able to write down everyone's default schedule so I can work up a spreadsheet about who has open dates that I can use to match up the human games. But I figured I would need time to get that straightened away which is why I gave myself time.

And then if I don't get them done Friday night we won't advance til Sunday since I am heading to Columbus for the Penn State game and won't be back til Sunday afternoon and then a family gathering so I wouldn't be able to log back in til Sunday night.

Heh...after the shellacking I got from Purdue, I think I'll avoid taking on the Ohio States of the world for another year. Actually, I was going to just use the real 2009 Army schedule which is:

9/5/09 - at Eastern Michigan
9/12/09 - Duke
9/19/09 - Ball State
9/26/09 - at Iowa State
10/3/09 - Tulane
10/10/09 - Vanderbilt
10/17/09 - at Temple
10/24/09 - Rutgers
11/7/09 - at Air Force
11/14/09 - VMI
11/21/09 - at North Texas
12/5/09 - Navy (Philadelphia)

That gives me two human games (Rutgers/Air Force). I'm all for adding a third human game. I'd also like to replace VMI with Notre Dame or Michigan. I'll probably lose it, but it would still be fun.

It will be interesting how close I can get you to the real schedule. Needless to say your default schedule is totally different. The only teams they got right were Navy & Air Force. You know I am limited by what teams would be available any given week when trying to change your schedule, especially after week 4.

Your other human games are set per the future schedule post as you will be playing Michigan St & ECU for your human opponents. (So you aren't playing Rutgers)

There are some things I like about your default schedule. You get to play a few ACC teams (Georgia Tech & BC) and a few things you probable won't like (You play Oklahoma) and they only gave you 4 home games?

I will try to balance the Army 2009 real schedule vs the default schedule. I will also have you play Notre Dame, cuz really... they normally play Army every year and even though Notre Dame is chicken now and doesn't want to play them every year, we will force them to keep playing you  And we will see about Michigan.

Ok, here is my first draft of non-conference games for everyone. A couple of notes, #1 Army I am just listing the games that most likely I will keep from your default schedule #2 Not many top ranked teams that aren't already playing people, so slim pickings. I also try to keep annual rivalries (ie Kentucky v Louisville) #3 These are tentative, if I can't match the potential cpu OCC game to what the computer lets me, I will have to switch them up.

I am going to try things out tonight and post them tomorrow morning. If I can't match up your prefered teams I will post the teams that are available and either you can pick them out or if you don't say anything, I will try my best. Which is why I will be listing your default teams even though most likely I am kicking them off your schedule. The default teams are like a FYI.

How this list will look, First games are your human games. Then the high ranked teams I will try to put into your schedule. Then the remaining teams listed are on your default schedule(so I might list more than 4 games total). Also will include teams rank if in top 25.

Texas A&M -
at South Florida (Human Game, HG)
USC #2
Default - Arkansas, So. Miss, Washington St

Oklahoma State -
BYU (HG)
Michigan
Auburn (not on Kentucky's schedule)
Default - Arizona State #14, Florida Atlantic, W. Kentucky, Northern Illinois

Colorado -
at Rutgers (HG)
Michigan State (HG)
Colorado State (Rival)
Florida State

Rutgers - (not going to to give him a high ranked team)
Colorado (HG) *scheduled for week 12 to give Bleed a chance to be back*
at SMU (HG) * scheduled for week 14
Default - Navy, Mid Ten St, Minnesota

South Florida -
Texas A&M (HG)
at ECU (HG)
Penn State #5
Miami (FL)
Default - UL Monroe & UL Lafayette

Kentucky -
Air Force (HG)
at BYU (HG)
Louisville (Rival)
Arizona #25
Default - W. Kentucky

East Carolina -
South Florida (HG)
Army (HG)
Virginia Tech #10
Default - UConn, San Jose St, Florida St & W. Michigan

SMU -
at Air Force (HG)
Rutgers (HG)
Texas Tech #9 (Default game)
TCU (Rival)

at Colorado (HG)
Army (HG)
Clemson #4
Default - Notre Dame #22 & UAB

at Oklahoma St (HG)
Kentucky (HG)
Arizona State #14
Default - UCLA & Cal

Air Force -
at Kentucky (HG)

Sparky, you want Notre Dame or someone else?

at Michigan St (HG)
*Default schedule I will keep*

Looks good to me. I would much rather play Arizona than W. Kentucky, and since Louisville is only guaranteed one loss, to USF, this season. I don't mind being stuck with the bums.

Is it possible I can play someone who is ranked, besides BYU? Colorado and I are the only ones not playing a ranked opponent.

Actually he has two. Since he plays 2 HGs.

My plan is for you to keep your default scheduled game with #14 Arizona State. But if I have to move it and can't keep the game with them I will try to replace them with another ranked team. If I can't find a suitable replacement for Arizona State then most likely I will replaced Auburn with a ranked SEC team to be determined later.

The schedules are now posted in the first post of this thread. So look over your schedule sometime today and let me know what ya think.

There were a couple of issues and will need input from Smooth & Iron. But I will touch on a few other things first.

I scheduled all of our "big" ranked team games for away games. I also tried to have your 4 non-conference games split 2 home v 2 away. The only exception is for buchtel/MSU. For some reason he only had 3 home conference games??? So I gave him Clemson at home. I will double check that tonight.

Yes, I know alot of Byes for Week 1. The default schedules kinda did that to everyone so sorry.

Smooth - For some reason Week 10 of your schedule wouldn't let me change it. (Ie change it to an Open week so I could move the game to another week). So you are stuck with the teams available only in Week 10, and it isn't a good list. So for week 10 choose one of the following teams (I kept the default Florida Atlantic for now):

Arkansas St, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Idaho, New Mexico & Western Kentucky

Iron - Had to switch Louisville to Week 2 as the bug hit you in two weeks, Week 2 (which I fixed using Louisville) and then Week 9 sticking you with Western Kentucky. But you actually have a few better options than Smooth/Army so please choose your victim below:

Eastern Michigan, Navy, Northwestern, Pitt, Sothern Miss, Troy or Western Kentucky.

I should be good to go from here on out. I have to figure out how to get my PS3 connected to my router instead of one of the neighbor's...but it still works if that's what I have to do. I can also hook up a crossover cable and just get online through my laptop if it comes to that.

Thanks for scamming me out of a top3 recruiting finish. I know it was you Piney. You broke my heart.
